Ascended 1,919 feet with our two senior pups. Lifted them up several rock walls nearer the top. Amazing view

Beautiful waterfall a couple minute walk down the trail, lots of beaver sign, and great trails for a small visit.

My dog and I love hiking the trails in the CC Putnam Forrest. They are the perfect length for a morning hike and I love that they are easy to find and dog-friendly.

Trail level -hard Saw few snakes Towards the end it gets really hard, and walk throw rocks that is going up hill. Only recommend this trail for experience hikers. Great view It's worth it. If you are looking for alternatives and skip the hiking try hubbard park tower. You can drive up.and walk 3 mins and enjoy a 360 view.

Most dogs aren't leashed. And there are local dogs off leash that visit the trailhead fyi. Local leash law indicates that you do need to leash your dog in general if you don't have control over them with verbal command. Hubbard park is nearby and offers a more controlled environment if that's preferred
There are no camp sites here. Vermont allows "primitive camping" on state land. The rules are at fpr.Vermont.gov/recreation
