Beautiful location Nice trails ButThere is no covering for shade on the large playground, way too hot to play on in the Summer sun And no covering over the swings Cannot even swing on those in the Summer sun. Was disappointed bathrooms did not have changing area For babies in diapers. Few upgrades and it would be perfect.

This is delightful paved walking and biking. Cool in the mornings, EARLY, with breeze off the water. Benches along the way, ever so often. Breathe deeply and enjoy! Playground for the kids at Shamrock Park with zany equipment. Occasional foot trails off for those interested in more nature like walk

We had a nice long walk that is paved along the water coastal. Stopped at a covered table for our packed lunch. Nice breeze. It was a wonderful day.

Yes, lots of paths and they connect to the main trail along the canal. Lots of walkers, joggers and bikes. You need to keep your dog on a leash.
Check out the beaches, caspersian, Venice, Nokomis, all have FREE showers, not indoors but you can still get clean
Its on the waterway if you like saltwater. There is no freshwater fishing
I believe all playgrounds in Venice are closed until the end of June.

Has several types of trees on trails behind nature center. Some are identified. Shamrock park is on Shamrock Dr. with crosses U.S. 41. Turn off U.S. 41 go west on Shamrock toward Gulf of Mexico.

Park is open dawn to dusk , 7 days a week. I eat lunch there 5 days a week most times. Never found this park to be closed. Except for when they repaved it
The park is open seven days a week from sunrise to sunset. The Nature Center is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am until 3pm. The bathrooms are accessible at any time when the gates are open (sunrise to sunset). You can walk every day from sunrise until sunset.
I haven't heard about it but I'm going to say probably good chance that it's not going to happen
