Great venue for outdoor entertainment. Be sure to arrive early. The performances here usually attract many people and parking and setting up your seating can be a challenge. I would recommend arriving at least 1 hour prior to the scheduled time to park and find a spot for your seating. Still that may not be early enough. Maybe arrive earlier, park, setup and then grab a bite at a local establishment prior to the show.

Great outdoors with rocky waterfronts and wide open fields. This is a nice area to walk, bike ride or a drive. There are many stop off areas to enjoy the scenery and for fishing(I'll bring my fishing poles next time) there are plenty of boat launches and free restrooms. In the future I'll be returning to this area.

Best place for fireworks. How early depends on what you want to do. To just stand and watch fireworks, probably OK 8-ish. If you want to sit with a group for a picnic or something, probably 6:30 to 7:00.
