I worked at Veterans Inc - lots of shady stuff going. #1 Lack of legit homeless vets. Where’s the money going?

I called to volunteer for thanksgiving, because as a veteran, this is the first year I've been, because alone my daughter and granddaughter had to move to Florida for work. Unfortunately the person that answered the phone was as cold as ice. I had to ask him 3 times is this a recording, because his tone was so bland and robotic. I wasn't being sarcastic, I honestly couldn't tell if it was a real person. I've done a bunch of 5k races for Veterans Inc., but if this is how they actually help veterans; I've done my last race with them.

I dont know why Vincent Perrone and Denis Leary decided to shift focus from actually caring about veterans to program expansion and profits. As a disabled Veteran with a medically required Service-dog(Marley-Doo) I never imagined being discriminated agianst due to a disability. Imagine the horror and trauma of being neglected and rejected from your veteran family when your biological family moved away or died ? Alone during the holidays and struggling not to become another statistic to suicide, crime and homelessness....shame on them.

They have been there to help both myself and my wife who are both veterans. It is great organiation and they hold the standdown in June which coordinates volunteers and companies who support veterans into one of the greatest days of the year. We are both eternally grateful for their support.

Hi Kathie! We could use anything at any given time. Please be aware that we have a women's shelter too. I suspect that with the weather warming a bit, coats could be on the lighter side of Siberian wear. Honestly any donation will get to the proper hands. Footwear, pants, shirts and so forth would be greatly appreciated. Be sure to fill out a form we have at the front desk for a tax write-off. Thanks for your generosity. Best, Scott L.
Yes, even out of season clothing. This organization will find it a home. Thanks for your question! Best, Scott
Yes yes and yes I am a vet living here we can use any help possible thank you so much. Furniture will be referred to somewhere that donates it to vets as they get housing
Call first. Not sure if they are taking donations yet.
There are two within the city of Worcester but you would have to contact vets inc for more information. I believe they are more discreet about disclosing addresses of female vet centers/housing
I don't...think...so!
Most housing programs like this have the same fee structure because funding doesn't cover all of the services. Clients are charged no more than 30% of their adjusted income and no more than $200, so it will always be reasonable and affordable, even if you have zero income.
I just donated a 3x winter coat Monday am, probably gone already.
Yes.anytime i think.however can call and ask..
They charge a $200 fee
Yes at the men's facility on Grove Street in Worcester Massachusetts
A person who receives a dishonorable discharge is not a veteran and therefore does NOT qualify for any VA benefits!!!!
Yes, thank you!
Yes, you would have to come in and meet with the volunteer coordinator.
69 Grove St
Every day Monday through Sunday
Thanks. If i wrote something up with a description of what is being donated with the date, would someone be able to sign it? That should be sufficient in case I need it.
No sorry

This program is for adults. SMOC is a program
69 grove st Worcester thanks
Chris, your donations are always welcome anytime. Everything goes to the donation room, especially clothing items, shampoo, body wash, soap etc.. clothing items need to be sorted and cleaned before allowing them any further into the facility. They need to keep the residents safe and the bugs out. The small room is just a weekend holding area. Thank you for considering a donation!!!!
What you need help with?
Mr. Sarver, DD-214 and you will be taken care of. Now don't expect the "Titanic", more like the "USS Constitution". The building is quite an old ironside with a seasonal temperament. Best, Scott
Ms. Funk, Yes, if I recall correctly...the second and fourth Thursdays of each month. Best, Scott
Ms. Mort, Yes, please talk to someone here. Best, Scott
Ms. Maor, Please feel free to bring anything. Veterans Inc. will sort through it. Best, Scott
Mr. White, Sorry for the delay. I'm pretty sure we have stand-down coming very soon! Best, Scott
