I'll update my review after my appointment. But as of July 2022, appointments are not being scheduled for at least 10 business days in advance. You're looking for a unicorn if you need something sooner, and you've got to count on someone actually taking the time to cancel their appointment for it to show up in the system for a hot second before one lucky ba$tard gets that slot. Proof of travel required for an expedited appointment and must be within 14 days. Calling at 8 AM was the longest wait time - 30-40 minutes; whereas calling at 8 PM was about 2 minutes.

Although I have to come back in a few hours for my passport the initial process was pretty quick. Passport Agent Corey was very friendly and polite.

The hard part was getting the appointment, once there everyone was very helpful and efficient. Discovered my passport was missing 9 days before a trip. Got an appointment the Friday before my flight on Sunday. Was worried about the timing but the actual application appointment took about 15 minutes and came back at 3:00 for same day pickup.

This place is the worst. I came in for a 930 am appointment. I was told to come back at 3 pm to receive passport. I asked for an earlier time as i have a long drive back to my home state, the window agent stated that is the only pick up time. The person next to me was told to come back in two hours. They refused to absolutely do anything to move my time up stating that the time givenwas at the discretion of the window agent i met with even though i politely asked for an earlier time. This is absolutely unacceptable! Just know depnding on the representative you see 3pm is not the only pick up time.

Do you need appointment for one day renewal
What was the answer to this
Hi I'm richemond I'm waiting for my daughter passport I still don't have it yet her name is leoncia Dina richemond
I got my passport same day. I booked something online or by calling I don't remember. but when I booked it was the morning of or night before. I got there at 9am got processed in 2 hours. chilled out at a sport bar and picked it up after 4pm. jumped on a flight to China at 9pm. I had to have the flight booked and pay something like 200 dollar rush. Also I already had a non expired passport that had run out of pages. don't know if that matters
The closest is North Station, which is right next door. It's also a reasonably quick walk from the Charles/MGH Red Line stop.
Hi, you have to make an appointment within 14 days of your travel, and proof of travel to get the passport same day
Sorry. US only.
I am in the same situation. Leaving next Sunday. I even paid for expedited services on 5/6/21. Sent in 3 and got 2 back within a few weeks. For some reason my 9 year olds is mysteriously missing. Very interesting coincidence
Yes
Your U.S. birth certificate or naturalization certificate is also proof of citizenship
A lot.
Yes send back
They will see you if you have proof of travel within 14 days. You will need your old passport, a filled out passport renewal form and 2 new photos. Provided nothing in your background holds up processing, it is actually possible to get it in one day. Also, check, credit card or money order for $170
Yes this is an express location they process much faster than a post office would sometimes within a week or less let them know you need it within that time frame.
She also needs passport photos evidence of citizenship and forms. To find out exactly what is needed go to travel.state.gov and click on "apply for passport." passport office is very helpful if you are prepared.
You will need to make an appointment, they do not accept walk-ins
No, you need an appointment. You have to call for the appointment
In our case, same day was 3pm the next day but otherwise it was easy and convenient. You need proof of travel within 14 days of your appointment but it doesn't need to be an emergency
Call the agency and tell them your travel date for an urgent passport. Boston agency is very prompt and efficient. Make sure to call at the earliest and give them your travel plan
The State Department doesn't monitor this. I'd recommend calling the passport scheduling 800 number to obtain an appointment. There are no walk ins. I'm sorry!
You can bring it in as long as it will fit through the scanner ( no bigger than a carry on from the looks of it).
No walk-ins. You just call and schedule an appointment while following all outlined guidance depending on your passport needs.
You will need to show purchased travel documents within 14 days of need to travel. Plan to pay more for expedited passport.
Call the main passport agency number as if making an appointment.
Anyone can get an appointment in Boston. You just have to get an appointment
Call them on the phone.... Speak to an agent and let them know that your reason for emergency travel is a wedding... If they say that works.... Set an appointment with them within minimum of two weeks of your before your travel and maximum of 5 business days before your travel time.. You need an itinery with a ticket confirmation number before they can set an appointment for you..
I’m traveling next Saturday. I’ve tried to book an appointment within 5 days of travel. They don’t have any appointments. Boston office says all the appointments are taken.
Call the Agency and schedule the appointment, they are very quick. You have to have the proof of your travel (flight reservation). Good luck!
Yes, I have had great success and the process ran very smoothly. Visit the agency site to ensure you call them in the correct time frame. 🙏
No. Have to make an appointment.
You can use his old passport, bith-paper social security card and a picture id from DMV.
If you have a flight coming up within 2 weeks you need to call the passport line and make an appointment which they will ask for proof of flight on phone (flight confirmation) which you'll also need to bring to appointment. Print form from online abd bring it competed but not signed with you to appointment. The only issue is that appointments are first come first serve and may not be available in your local area, I had to change my flight once because the next available appointment closest to my flight was in Detroit and I'm in NY. Delayed by a week and got an appointment in Boston. Plan for the whole day. Usually appointment is earlier and passport pick up around 3pm (quick process though for pick up).
You. Can call the number to put an appointment I can give you the number if you want to
Sorry just seeing this. My understanding is you need an appointment
It all depends on what time is your appointment, but the latest is 3 pm.
Try online to get appointment but just at 12:00 am , very fast. Besides you have to be at least 14 days between the schedule date and flight date.
Yeh, it's not easy at all . But the tricky way you have to be ready at 12:00 am to make an appointment online, and make sure to put 14 days between your expected flight time and date you wanna take an appointment. For example your flight it should be (jul.9th) to create available appointment for you at 12:00 am ( jun.25) tonight. Good luck
No, you have to call the main passport number to receive an appointment date and time.
You should call 72 hours prior to your flight
The only way you can get it is if you have an emergency.
Absolutely Not. My wifes father died Sunday Evening we bought a flight ticket, and obtained documentation and everything requested online to get an Emergency Passport for her to go to the burial. They said they dont have appointments available. THEN told us we would have to reschedule a flight 1st, Then call back to see if there is an appointment available for that time. VS setting an appointment amd rescheduling a flight?!? SMH.. the multiple calls and 20-30 minute wait times on the phone to find out you cant see your deceased father on a flight you already paid for is the real deal breaker. To put the icing on the cake, my wife is also an American Citizen and even brought her old passport, application amd every supporting document. We physically went to the building and they told us just call the 800 number. Ill give COVID19 just 50% fault. The rest is poor process. Good luck
Based on my experience. You habe enough i.d to replace her passport and I believe you must report it lost to the Agency. The fact that she is 18 is benefit, less paperwork. I hope this helps a bit
You need appointment with confirmed international travel in next 72 hrs or next 10 business days if u need visa 1) try taking appointment online or by calling state department Passport helpline 2) once you get appointment go with ticket and other documents and tell them you would wait and passport will normally be ready in next 2 hrs
Go to Boston. Call first, make an appointment, and it only takes 4 days to renew if you have a trip already booked
Go to the Passport office
Yes to both. Check out travel.state.gov, search for "how do I renew my passport"and carefully follow the instructions.
Check the web site
My understanding is that a passport must be valid 6 months prior to travel
I'm not sure but I would ask you probably would just have to update that but if if your going before you travel and it expires you should be fine as long as it's before that date as for the name change again might have to just update it then when you renew it will have your new name but call and see.
This will be difficult because your passport goes by your birth certificate. You can try to change your name on your birth certificate and then go to the passport office and see if they will change your name
It's best to use the online sign-up for appointments.
Probably the one closest to you
I'm pretty sure that's where you would have to send it if that's where the application says to mail I don't think that would be a wrong address you can call them to confirm if that's where it needs to go.
No. It's expiring in November. Why would you have an issue?
You don't have to schedule an appointment. Just bring the receipt.
For your most accurate information you should visit your local Post office.
Maybe through the embassy?
You have to call the passport Agency to setup am appointment. They will charge you like $60 to get it expedited. I'm not sure if they do same day, but I got it a day later.
Maybe call them to make sure how much it cost. I've heard to get it quickly you have to have your flight already purchased and maybe have some kind of emergency
Within the 4-6 weeks I would check tracking number or call someone
You have plenty of time if your flight isn't until may they will process your application within. A few weeks. I think they just need your flight Info..
You also need proof of travel plans
No you can't. I was just there two weeks ago. You have to have an appointment. If you have appointment and your flight is within 48 hours you can get your passport the same day. If not you they make an appointment for the next day to pick it up. My flight was within 72 hrs so I had to go back. I hope it works out. Good luck!
Call them and as If they either delay or reschedule his ticket there's nothing you can do in a short time period. Unless he can very quickly find it
Currently no because it's still in the valid time before it expires if you want you can try to apply her for a new passport but they might also tell you to do it around closer to the time it does expire because there's still 5 months left and this office I'd sn express location if you need one quickly so they might also tell you to just do it at your local post office since you still have 5 valid months.
I would call them. Or trying speaking with someone at your local post office.
I don't think they would require that this office is express if you need one quickly for that I would call but wouldn't think you would need it.
I wouldn't think so as this is a federal building and most likely would be closed on days like that.
I'm not sure if they can get you it the same day but I think they can if you go really early in the day usually they can get you a passport within a few days of your flight date and even the day before but I would call them to see if it can be processed so quickly.
Do you mean in general? Is it an emergency? You should contact them directly to get an accurate answer.
Yes. As quick as 48 hours maybe less. You need to make an appt on line have a reason and be able to back it up as to why you need it asap as well as pay an additional fee. Then you need to go in person with all docs foe your appt. Good luck
Your address isn't listed in your U.S. passport
No 2 days probably paying an expediting fee plus tou need to have proof of why toi need it expedited.
https://www.us-passport-service-guide.com/passports-for-minors.html
I would imagine as long as you return before February you would be fine. Call them up to verify.
I believe she needs to bring in her old passport maybe her birth certificate and does she have a state issued ID? She should be able to do it herself she is already 18. I believe you can first go there or call to make an appointment from there it may take anywhere from one week to longer depending on how much you pay to have it processed.
Yes
Go to Agency. They will print you a corrected passport. Bring proof of correct birth date.
Yes if you have an itinerary. It would be possible
There is no passport agency in Rhode Island that you can get your passport the same day only the Boston passport agency on Causeway Street. If you traveled August 24th you will not get the passport August 24th because they are expedited. You can go get it but it would be 2 to 3 business day or if you travel like the 23rd you go you traveled on the 24th they would probably give it to you the same day but don't wait that long if you can go get it now you should go get it now
It's called a DS-3053...a statement of consent, fully filled out, notarized, and signed and dated by the non-appearing parent
You must have a passport
Yes but they work Case by case basic...if she's not traveling the same day They will have to mail out to her.
if they are not booked up and on Tuesdays the appointments don't start till 1030...bring proof of travel too.
7-11 or CVS
Print out application form, (passport renewal application ), fill out, send $110.00, payable to "State Dept.
Yes. But there is a charge for it. How much for? I am not sure
I think only to schedule appointments as I really only go there for the applications but I think they do but fill up fast because many people go here if they need a passport very quickly if traveling soon.
