I received a phone call from the office today with absolutely no context aside from “this is Albany Family Medicine.” After waiting over 15 minutes on the phone trying to get a hold of someone, I was told there was no note of the office calling. The receptionist seemed irritated and inconvenienced by my call. This has not been my first negative experience with the front desk staff. I really loved the care I was receiving, but it is made difficult by waiting nearly 30 minutes on hold to get through to someone. I sadly will be looking for a new primary care office.

I am not a big fan of this office only because it is impossible to get on the phone with them, it takes almost an hour sometimes. I am also not a huge fan of some of the doctors I have seen when my primary care doctor is not available. The only reason for the four stars is because Doctor Colman is an amazing doctor and the only reason I stay here.

I had an new patient appt scheduled and could not get through “high call volume”. Wasted 2 days worth of breaks and lunches trying to cancel my appt. called to rescheduled and was advised their policy is bc I was a “no call, no show”. I called this office for 2 consecutive days and was on hold for literally my entire 30 min lunch. That is ridiculous, obviously was not meant for me to have services from this practice. Seeing the previous reviews I should have known better.

The doctors care and staff are friendly and efficient. They always make time to see me when needed. the one was taken off because the phone system always takes forever. They also follow up for you on recommendations. That is great! Parking lot is attached and free , but you must get it stamped by the office. It is a one stop shop if you need too. You can get lab work in the building and they can also do GYN stuff. This is all helpful for a newcomer to the area.
