today I bought 2 spotted bee balm plants. When I took them out of the containers there was a rotten smell and the plant was water logged. I decided to plant them anyway but the just fell apart. I paid $15 for each of them. Not sure what to do!

return them to nursery, buy some at Lowes - very reliable
I have 2 wet patches in my yard. They are like mini wetlands. In early spring they are like little ponds usually they dry but last summer with all the rain they stayed wet. That’s a long way to ask what I can plant there that will be good for animals

How about winter berry? They like damp feet and provide berries for birds in late winter early spring. They are a lovely airy small leafed
I am an organic gardener and run a business using many natives. Is the farm open for visitors on the weekend? Are plants for sale? I can’t make the pollinators class, but would like to visit later in the day.
Thank you, Suzen.
