Lia, my wife was admitted in early Jan 2022, suffering from brain cancer. The nurses and staff were great. They took care of her until she passed on 5/14/22. She liked the people caring for her, some she said she loved them. To all of the staff, my deepest thanks for your care of my baby.

My mother-in-law was released from the hospital to rehab and this was the only bed available for her in town at the time. The room had pealing wallpaper, old furniture, dirty linens, and a bathroom with black grout. Many of the meals were served in take out boxes with flimsy plastic utensils. We rang the bell to and no one would respond. It is terribly understaffed, and without a doubt the most depressing healthcare facility I've ever seen. I was mortified. Where are the healthcare inspectors? This place needs to be shut down. DON'T let anyone release your loved ones to this facility.

I worked at Heartland for a couple of years, be careful when reading comments. Some 5-star comments state that they are employees, other's do not state that they are employees. There were times that we ordered to leave positive reviews over social media to increase our ratings if we intended on keeping our jobs.

Our father transferred from Lee memorial hospital to heartland on April 17th. He discharged from heartland on April 21st. We called them day of discharge letting them know we did not get some of his personal items returned. As of today April 23 they still have not located them. We also received conflicting information in regards to his mobility. When he left lee memorial 2 hours prior we witness him putting on his boxers then adjusting once back in bed. At heartland they communicated to us he needed help for anything below the waist. I would like to thank Heartland. My dads items have been returned to him

You can either stay short-term or stay long term as a resident and live here.
Prepackaged, canned, and nuked from frozen. Nothing fresh. Doesn't closely follow patients dietary needs.
My father was served purée food when he only needed a mechanical soft diet. He suffered from malnutrition and dehydration. When I got him to the hospital he had severe sepsis/severe toxic shock and had UTI infections at Heartland Healthcare. He had a deep pressure wound and very red heels. One heel had an open wound within days of leaving this place. In order for me to keep him alive the hospital said he would require a feeding tube because he was malnourished and had a small appetite after not wanting to eat nasty purée food for so long.
Depends on what your Insurance Pays
Actually the best time to visit is after 3:30 pm. Then they will be back from Therapy, Dr.'s Appointments and the Nurses working with them. However a staff person told me that Visiting hours are 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. 7 days a week.
Only outside you can smoke
This place is horrible, my poor dad had to be rushed to hospital
