Nothing terribly exciting but still a fun place to walk, get some food or drinks, do a little shopping, or just enjoy walking the boardwalk. Keep an eye on the fishing boats when the come in to see the catch of the day. The lift bridge is a sight to watch too if you haven’t seen it.

I fly to Florida from Wisconsin several times a year to visit my retired parents in Plant City. John's Pass is always the first thing we plan to do. Great place to go after a day at the beach. Get some good food, some drinks and visit the shops.

John's pass is across the street from the best beach, Madeira Beach. You can spend the day at the beach, walk over to John's pass do some shopping and have dinner, then go back across the beach for sunset.

So many great restaurants and stores. The board walk is awesome. I love the vibe and theme of this little village.

Yes as long as you pick up poop
Yes, can be any time of the day but probably best on tidal changes.
You sure can. Just head over to the boardwalk and make your arrangements. You can also visit this website for additional information about area activities like PWC(personal water craft) rentals. BeachDirectory.com, where you can find links for everything from accommodations to dining & area activities. Most allow you to book on line or phone #'s to call & make reservations like reserving your jetskis.
Try visiting BeachDIrectory.com selecting Maderia Beach on the left side of the screen that lists the beaches from North to South. Then after selecting Maderia Beach the page that will load will have several links at the top to enable you to narrow your search to specific aspects of the area including maps to help you answer your question as their are multiple lodging choices across the street and depending on where your standing at John's Pass Village the answer to your question may differ.
yes there is a bridge u can walk right up
When I was in my teens and early 20's visiting my family that wintered here, we went fishing every morning from the cat walks under the old bridge that was replaced 2008-2010. But to be more current and answer your question you can fish from gettys on the north & south sides or I like going back behind John's Pass Village and you can drive down the street that runs east & west between the north side & the boardwalk back to Waltz Fish Shack, park then fish across the street from Waltz at the eastern end where the boardwalk ends. Its east of the wave runner rentals & Hubbards 1/4, 1/2 & full day fishing trips out into the Gulf. I think they still offer to cook your catch at their restaurant. Talk about fresh fish. ....
Maderia Bay Resort. Barefoot Beach Resort. Sandy Shores Resort. To better accomodate your needs please go to this website and make your own choice. I suggest that everyone planning a trip to this area of FL, use this website to organize & plan and take advantage of the numerous resources & maps. LINK: BeachDIrectory.com. When condos are your preferred choice for short & long-term stays including 2-3bdrm homes with & w/o pools, go to: ResortRentals.us. They have an excellent staff to help you
Yes, it was bad. Dead fish everywhere. Very sad. I was there three weeks ago. I hope it cleared out.
I know they take people out I believe to fish because when I walk by the boats I see guys prepping up fish. (Filet) Beautiful place to hang out at. I hope this helps you.
I do not believe there is a place to rent wheelchairs. The shops on the street would be wheelchair accessible, yet on the boardwalk quite a few of the restaurants have stairs without other access that I am aware of. Definitely worth the trip! I did see wheelchairs, scooters, etc on the street & on the boardwalk, if this helps.
Plan for an hour because you never know what kind of craziness, accidents and traffic will be oj the bridges.
John's Pass under the bridge is really good in the weather we're having right now. All depends on the weather and the tide
A lot of the shops do close, but lots of folks like to shoot off fire works across the street. And people like to get down, so don't wear heels. 😉
Today is the last day for the Johns Pass Seafood Featival. 10/29/2017. Weather is perfect for today with breeze and sunshine.

Yes I believe so, tell you the truth John Pass was so full of spring breakers, I found myself distracted by all the beautiful sights. Do you remember the store across the street from the Thunderbird and Belmar. Unbelievably the same. Somethings changed but not the old staples.
As of the current situation none are present. I guess it is possible for the future.
yes
A couple good ones in there with music.
John's pass doesn't allow crabbing off of the pier so you would have to have your own personal boat and there are crabbing Lanes which are already properly finished so you would have to contact wildlife before you drop traps especially in Florida
Also the services at the Hotel Zamora allows campers free parking and there's a boat ramp right down the street and i can rent you a nice pontoon for$435day
It's actually called John's Pass, but to answer your question. There is a parking garage and metered parking. Often difficult to find parking in the lots so the garage is a better option.
I was on lu their for a vacation
Dogs are not allowed on the beach at all, but this is a good place. (Bicentennial Park)
I don't one for sure either.
John's pass seems like a good place to hang out, you can rent water sports equipment from jet skis to dinner cruise if you don't want to eat at the restaurant's theye have there on the boards beer or frozen wine and shopping as well.
I use the parking garage when I go as you need to get there very early to get the other spaces!
Yes me too. I don't want to worry about my bike rather enjoying the beach. I am planning to visit this evening
No no bicycle riding on the pier no skateboarding no rollerblading just walking enjoy your time there
Never been there on New year's eve
Maybe you drove through and didn't realize.?
They have a parking machine that charges $2.50 an hour.
We were there last week, 10 pm
It shows the pass and boardwalk are open to 10, but tue store times vary.
I would check the police station first. If you don't put in a report and someone turns it in, it will be theirs after 30 days if it has not been reported. Also you can offer a reward on Craigslist. Just make sure you meet in a public place to meet with them. ..If you lost your boyfriend don't worry. There's more out there.😀 Oh yeah... Do not be to specific of where you lost it. People will start looking for it in hopes of pawning or selling it....Just a general surrounding such as the town or city or a couple miles radius. Good luck. TinMaN.
No, several in the area will deliver though. Google "wheelchair rental Seminole FL"
Thank you all
You can't fish off the boardwalk... but you can fish under the bridge and along the rock jetties that run out to the beach. You can also fish on top of the bridge, with the exception of the parts of the bridge that go up when boats come through. But you should be good on any of the patio out-croppings along each side of the bridge. Also, to legally fish, you'll need a fishing license. They can be had at Wal-Mart in the Outdoor Department for free for Florida residents, you only need to show them your Florida drivers license.
Wish I knew you needed one. I live fairly close and because of my successful back surgery, I no longer need it.
