Not what it use to be back in the day . The brown sauce was absolutely terrible full of lumps and greasy I think it was warmed up in the microwave. The only decent hickory pit left is the one in Walnut Creek across from los Lomas high school. Don’t waste your time in Livermore. They don’t even give you the pickle spear with your ribs

Always love EVHP, a Livermore institution. Got there five minutes before closing in the manager kept the place open for us. We had a great meal and great service as usual.

Breakfast deal is pretty decent for the price. Food was alright.The gravy seemed to be a bit gelatinous. Eggs, hashbrowns, pancakes,, and French toast were good.. Service was very slow and we found ourselves waiting a short while to be seated, get our order taken, and to get refills. Drink prices are too high @ $3.49, even for coffee. Id say its worth going if you have time to kill but it's not quite a place to desire to eat at.

It took a minute for them to work up to seeing us as customers, of course we arrived 20 minutes before they had planned on closing. Service is what gives this establishment only three stars instead of four. The food though is very good. Id advice anyone in the area to stop in and try it.
