Good place for fishing and birding. Revisit a year later- we bicycled around a portion of the loop, really enjoyed the outing. Lots of open areas, wooded areas. Saw some kayakers put in on one of the strip cuts, just a great place to get away. Not as popular as some parks, you will enjoy a certain amount of solitude here.

We didn’t go to the main lake, if you go on up there is access to another set of strip pits. It was nice and calm. Maybe a couple of hours tops of kayaking. Very still waters. Some people fishing on the dock and in their kayaks. Would go again for an easy paddle.
