Great rest area to stop at on your way to or from Yellowstone North Entrance. The restrooms were very clean. Picnic tables & areas were clean. Best of all you can get a close up walk to the Yellowstone River.

Nice rest area, lush grass, beautiful views of the mountains at sunset. Primitive river access.

Rest area's washroom could have been cleaner. Also please change those faucets inside, they are a joke. It feels like New Jersey when you go in and use washroom. Please keep it clean.

Beautiful rest area on the way to Glacier National Park. Was told there is a museum across the river but did not get the time as it was a short rest time!

Questions & Answers

Can you overnight with small trailer?

There's room for a trailer, and the rest area is open 24/7 but definitely don't camp there. If you get into the valley late and don't want to go blundering about trying to find a site somewhere else, it's probably fine for a nap, though. That said, there are several USFS campgrounds in the same area for $7 a night, most of which have decent trailer sites. Mallard's Rest has the biggest sites, but Eagle Creek is pretty good, too. Canyon is tight and the few big sites are usually occupied.
