Very beautiful place, the gardens were my favorite part. To us, it was worth the visit to take some pics, learn more about the Mormons and then move on with our trip thru SLC.

Despite the fact that this is symbol of Utah I really think it is overrated. It is a nice big castle like cathedral but getting inside is tough and at the end of the day there are many structures that look like this. It is nice that they have a little podium out in front specifically so you can take pictures with it. Not bad but overhyped so it gets a 4 out of 5.

Wonderful experience with my older children (8+) while going to see Music and the Spoken Word on Easter! We were there for the first performance since the start of the pandemic and they were truly marvelous! I would highly recommend attending on a Sunday morning and taking it all in!

The Salt Lake Temple is being renovated. The renovation project is in the third year. Over the past two years, two tower cranes were erected on the north and south sides of the temple. These cranes have been used for various purposes, such as removing stones from the walls and towers. Temple Square is well worth a visit, and visitors can go inside the Tabernacle. There are church volunteers available for any questions.

There aren't any hotels in the temple block, but there are several nearby. You can search Google or any travel reservation website to find them.
You can speak with some Mormon missionaries in your area to talk about joining the church. If you do convert then it takes some time to get recommended to enter the temple.
Some people spend several hours there. They have several things to do and to see including some historical movies. I always plan to stay several hours, and i rarely see the same things. My kids like the museum artifacts. And i like the documentaries.

They do not charge, you just need to find parking, the easiest is to park a little far and use Trax, it is free in the center.
Yes. They will provide one if you ask. Get one at the North visitors center. You can also get one at the conference center as well. And everything is wheelchair accessible. Just remember that any wheelchair will be difficult if it is snowing so plan accordingly and call ahead not o my to reserve one, but also to ask for the conditions.
