Beautiful state park with lots of parking. The booking trails are easy to moderate. You can rent paddle boats for two and swim in the lake near the first Lake.

This park is absolutely gorgeous. It's near the top of the mountain. It's $6 a person. They are open from 8am-8pm. We went at 7:30pm. We spent 90% of our time at Lake Placid because it was just beautiful. The water fall was fantastic. There is a horse ranch just outside the property line which is visible from the lake. The house is amazing. There is a nice gift shop at the park as well. This a great park for taking a relaxing walk or reading. I very seriously recommend this park.

Quiet and serene beautiful park. Swimming area with a little beach, rental paddle boats, plenty of picnic tables and bbq grills. Clean bathrooms, cute little gift shop and free little library.

Great experience, accessible trails, pretty scenery. Everything was well maintained, and they even had fishing poles and tackle in the visitor's center you can use for free. We took the trail around the lake, and it was very easy to walk, with lots to see. I really loved the dam and the bridges. There is so much to do here I will definitely be coming back.

There Are 5 trail side campsites that are just open areas of forrest next to the reservoir up at the tip of the trails. Then they also have the "campsites" with power and toilets and running water down closer yo the entrance of the park.
