This is a very nice state park along the Deschutes River. Lots of parking and different areas for groups to get together. Picnic benches scattered throughout. I wanted to get out with my parrot for a couple of hours and it was close to where I was staying. We took a park bench away from the group activities however the kids slowly migrated their games to where we were so they could see the bird. My cockatoo Nutmeg loves the attention, likes to show off and talk and I like to educate the children and adults about parrots as pets. This is a very family friendly park. And I don't get a lot of photos when Nutmeg is with me.

A perfect place for a family picnic and peaceful getaway from the city. The kids can play in the river, there's wide open play spaces, and it's close enough for a hike to Riley Ranch. The only downside is that there are no public restrooms - only porta-potties to use.

Such a great park with trails and almost no cars. Easy to walk with kids, not dangerous.

These camp sites are good size. They are pet friendly. However it was very crowded and busy. We were lucky to get a site as someone was leaving. Camp hosts were friendly as well. Lots of trails to walk and water for the kids to play in. :)

I was just there a week ago, bought my firewood from the camphost, and had a wonderful fire.
Not bad, it depends what part of the park you're camping in
Showers are free to those that have paid for there tent site.
Ours was canceled in July.
We were just there and didn't have an issue with mosquitoes at all. We did hike up Tumalo Falls and noticed mosquitoes there on the mountain in the evening.
Tumalo day use area is open at 7AM and closes at 7Pm. Host at Tumalo State park
I am not sure why they haven't fixed that problem on the website. As an OSPcamp host I will address that question with the rangers. 😣
When we were there over the summer, the showers we were using did not close.
Didnt see it last time we were there
You might give Tumalo Creek kayak shop a call.
Site #056 is the best with full hookup. Easy walk to the river.
No there is not from my understanding. But it doesn't hurt to ask.
$18 when we went.
Yes I hope you have a great time
The waterfall is not near the state park. It's at the end of Skyliners rd in west Bend
Summer month's, make a reservation. Early spring & late fall the campgeound is prwtty empty.
