Stayed in a camper van here overnight. Nice spots to park and quiet in the evening. Those showers are AMAZING at the campground. High flow and pressure!! Good spot to stop for the night.

We stayed in a yurt at this beautiful campground with spruce and ponderosa pine. It was very clean, with friendly rangers and camp hosts. We could hear road noise at night, but the beauty of the place outweighs that. You simply walk across the road to the day use area to enjoy the Deschutes River! We floated it in cheap rides when our teenage daughters. There's lots of space for picnicking, and the Deschutes River Hike was amazing (we went about 1 mile to the Boardwalk).

Good product for a good price

Clean campground sites not very secluded but cool juniper trees around you. The Deschutes river flows close to it. So bring some inner tubes , but paddle boards won't work because it's very shallow in this section of the river. Great for family, stores are near by also to eat or get supplies.

Great place! The wife and I loved staying the Yurt. We went Labor Day weekend, it was busy but the weather was amazing. Great hikes around the area. We liked that they offered pet friendly yurts. Would definitely like to come back. The place was clean and well taken care of. The rangers were friendly and kind. Great place to stay if you don't mind being next to people.

Questions & Answers

Our 2 families are trying to get 3 nights any time from May to August in Tumalo. It seems everything is booked. Is this true. Some are not able to book. Any way you can help me. We have 1 trailer and 1 truck camper. Close to each other. Thanks

It's a very small area. Central oregon is booked everywhere. I think its state law that the campgrounds keep a few spaces available for people that are just camping overnight.
