Attended an event at this private course. Greens and fairways were being tended to as this is a day it's normally closed. Everything was in good shape. Course is challenging but very fair. I liked playing here.

Prarie highlands is in great shape right now! They have done a ton of awesome things out there to make this course a top course in Kansas City! Not only is the course amazing, but the staff is phenomenal, can't say enough positive things about Josh Aldrich there, the assistance General Manager, he should be working off commission for how hands on he is there and how much he cares about his members!

I can’t get over the improvements made to this course. I’ve always loved playing here but agree that it needed some love. Well now it’s getting it and it’s looking beautiful! Big complaint was always the poor condition of the bunkers...no longer the case. Beautiful white sand has replaced the ugly dirt and the grounds are being maintained like never before. The practice area is also being improved. Still waiting to see how the clubhouse does once it reopens. Some of the fairways still need some TLC, but I have no doubt that will happen as well. I can’t wait to see the end result! For those who gave the course a less than stellar review...it’s time to revisit!!!! I have a feeling Prairie Highlands Golf Course will not be a “best kept secret” for long.

Most golf courses require a state issued drivers license. So in Kansas that is 16.5 years old.

Channel 4 news last night said the course would have to close if we didn't get some rain. Any truth to that?

I not sure. They could water in the evenings couldn't they. They still haven't replaced the sand in the bunkers yet. They lost them 3 yrs ago. New owners haven't spent one dime on this once beautiful golf course.
