I wish I had taken my machine here first. But unfortunately I didn't, and enevitably was left with a machine that had been totalled. I was frazzled, stressed, and without a machine. I first interacted with Cris from the Lenexa location. She was incredibly kind, thorough, knowledgeable, and helped put me at ease. I ended up purchasing a new machine through them from their downtown location. I was incredibly appreciate that their service technician (I unfortunately can't remember her name) took the time to not only explain to me what she was seeing with my machine, but actually helped direct me to my new machine-- obviously not her job, but I trusted her expertise, and appreciated that she spent the time to do so. I felt the staff genuinely took the time to go above and beyond and all have stellar customer service. I did not feel rushed. Carolyn was absolutely helpful and polite in helping me test drive new machines and helped answer some of my incredibly in depth questions. I've had my machine for a couple weeks now and am thrilled. It was definitely an upgrade and I'm so pleased with my new machine and feel like it's everything I wanted.

I can't say enough about Missouri Sewing Machine! What a fantastic store! The selection is great and the staff very knowledgeable about all products. Carolyn was able to help select a machine that met all of my needs. The on site classes were an added bonus. Love the history of the store and seeing all of the antique sewing machines. My how things have changed!

I have an Elna free arm machine that has quit working the zigzagging, and my local repair man can't get parts. Will these folks be likely to repair my machine? It is old, but a good solid machine, and I don't want to change.

I have a Janome 4120 QDC. It sews beautifully and then slows to a snails pace. Any idea why and what to do?

Martha Wakely | Aug 31, 2020
Martin Catenhauser | Aug 31, 2020

Hello Martha, check to make sure the speed control on the front of the machine is moved all the way to the right. If it is, and the machine is still slow, it is most likely an issue with the foot control. If you bring it to any of our locations with the foot control we can provide a free estimate. Thanks!
