Bull Run Regional Park was a wonderful site. We held a picnic there for a professional group I am a part of and it was the perfect place. Everything was clean, easy to access, and the process was relatively easy. The only complaint I has was it was difficult to identify which shelter was which, I actually had to stop at a map. Otherwise, both the site we used and the park were beautiful and a wonderful place for our picnic.

We stayed here in our RV during the off-season. The park was very well maintained, with staff always available. Heather was so sweet in helping us navigate our first stay as first-time RVers - thanks Heather! Even during a snow storm, they had the roads cleared of all snow and fallen trees almost immediately. Even when most other parks lost power for an extended time, Bull Run had the power back after a couple of hours.

Great light display, but my word, the carnival was pricy, especially the rides which you had to buy tickets for (think $9 for the Farris wheel for maybe 3 loops; $5 for 1 min kid rides). Tickets didn't work at the game booths or camel rides, which were cash and we were told that the stuffed animals weren't prizes rather for purchase for $30. Again, the lights were worth it! Very cool, and the kids loved it. However, I plan to skip the little pricy carnival next year.

Great place for family picnics, you have to reserve the shelters but not the picnic tables. I'd get there early, they go fast on the weekends. Shelters vary in cost based on size and utilities
Main park open all year for picnicking, hiking and family camping. Gatehouse: March 9 - October 27 | Open Weekends & Holidays only, 8 hours per day Group Camping open daily March 1 through October 31. Disc golf open year round. Hours vary.
Close at 10pm and the price varies from $20 to $25 par vehicle and depending on the day
Hi Sukhwant. You do not need to make a reservation to have a picnic at Bull Run unless you want to reserve a shelter. We have picnic tables on a first come first serve basis. There is a daily $8 entrance fee if you live out of jurisdiction. Thank you!
No updates on the websites.
The bluebells are only out for a few weeks in April or May. There might be some other wildflowers, but generally they are not in bloom.
Nope, but there is a playground use for pullups.
$20, if you go during the week there's a printable coupon for $5 off
Yes they have plenty of trees not sure if you can hang a hammock on it
To enter the park if you are Fairfax resident $0.00 other county $8.00 per car
Yes you can come and go as needed.
Hi Christine. The tent pads are 10 x 10 and can accommodate one tent. You might be able to fit 2 tents on there if they were smaller. We do however offer delineated campsites which are basically one large elevated tent that will accommodate 2 tents.
I don't believe so...
I think you have to obtain a permit
Depends on service. Allthis imformation is on reserve america where you can se every site and reserve the specific site you like.
Tell them you know me and they will let you in for free. :)
You can find the trailhead near the visitor center. You can probably ask someone in the visitor center as well so they can point you in the right direction
Yep, right across from the check in. They also have full hookup, pull through spaces for 40' campers as well
Now thru Jan 1 $30. If you go to D-Nice Adventures, my YouTube channel, there's a $5 off promo code M-Th only.
Usually about $5-10 for regular ones, but I don't believe they sell them at the park. You'll have to get them somewhere else.
It's open for every body morning until sun set you can get tables as much u need but first come first serve , if you are from the VA state you don't pay any thing but if your out of state so there is a fee required !!!
Definitely, there is fishing nearby
