They have a Great selections of Japanese (Wa-bouchiyou) knives. The owner and staffs are truly experts on Japanese cutlery knives. I myself is a Japanese born and Japanese individual who had learned Japanese knife makings in a past but the owner and his staffs of this place truly " impressed " me with his deep knowledges and showed me with his skills as real proof of it all. Yes , I've visited various Japanese knife shops all around S California or perhaps , entire California . But finally , I am proudly able to say to everyone that Ive found a Excellent Japanese knives specialized store here in Los Angeles that I can trust . I , "Highly" recommend to everyone who are passionate about Japanese knives . Thank you very much A warm regards , H.S.

Wow! I am truly impressed by the customer care. I walked in just curios about getting a Japanese knife and Kevin walked me through showing me a dozen knifes explaining every single one and steel types. He walked me though the pros and cones of each knife. He really helped make a decision of which type of knife to get. A+++++ customer experience

Damn this place is great!! Owner is Chef experienced and knows his knives inside and out. They have great products. Both tools and kitchen apparel. You do not have to be industry focused to get great use out of many of their tools. Thank you for all the help and information on my visit. I will be back to make more purchases!

Bought my first nice knife from them. I walked in knowing nothing, and only videos I watched on YouTube and Japanese chef knives websites. Wow... Great service & product selection. Came back to buy 4 more knives as gifts and accessories for cooking. Got my knife bag and Dark Hardt apron from there as well. Not sure if my cooking tastes better from having better knives and cooking tools lol. But it feels like it. :D

Where can I get a good mushroom knife? West side of LA

not sure where you would be able to find a mushroom knife specifically... we have knives that would work on mushrooms, but I imagine you are asking about a specific mushroom knife shape (like the opinel ones). Maybe the cheese store of Beverly Hills?

what are your hours please?

Normally, yes, we sharpen Japanese kitchen knives here. Sadly, at the moment, our knife sharpening services are currently on hold. We have a rather large backlog of work, and in order to be responsible to the customers who have been patiently waiting for their knives to be finished, we have had to stop taking any new sharpening for the time being. I am very sorry. If you would like me to recommend some alternative places, please let me know and I would be happy to do so. If you would prefer to have me sharpen your knives when we resume our sharpening service, please keep an eye on our website. There is a bar at the top of our website. It generally has notifications about store closures, sharpening service interruptions, and other things like this. Currently, you can see that our sharpening service is on hold by looking at that bar. When that status changes, please feel free to check in with us again about your knife sharpening.
