Very nice state park. Camping with 37 ft Class A was ok but probably the limit. Gravel sites but not many suited our rig. Mostly level. Nice trails and sunset ridge was awesome view.

This is a place I remember fondly from my childhood. So many walking paths, biking paths, and even equestrian trails to follow. Check out the lookout if you get a chance. There are loads of places to camp and enjoy the great outdoors. 10/10 Would recommend and will come back.

What a great little park hidden away in Iowa. Nice walking paths, great views, would have never guessed, definitely worth a stop. We hiked on Christmas Day, looking forward to coming back in the Spring.

Beautiful ridge trail at sunset. Everyone just goes to overlook. If you hike out on the ridge you'll have it all to yourself. Great campground.

Jean, if trails are closed, we'll post it here: http://www.iowadnr.gov/Places-to-Go/State-Parks/Alerts-and-Closures Thanks!
I assume they take check also but no card unless online
The phone is probably at the office. The ranger is out and about.
Yes ..there is 50amp hookup on some pads...be warned though, no reservations as some sites are being occupied by flood victims...call ahead, but its first come, first serve.
Hi, Renee! You can also follow our weekly Fall Color report at iowadnr.gov/FallColor.
Fire wood ban, Don't bring in outside firewood. There a private vendor at Bluff and Ea. Washawter road. $5 a bundle.
Reserve picnic shelter and call staff for arrangements fir the lookout.
There is an online reservation system. $80 per night for one we had that had slept 10 max, 6 in bedrooms, with a fireplace.
