Beautiful state park encompassing 1,476 acres of beautiful, mostly forrested land. One great feature is Wisconsin's highest waterfall, Big Manitou Falls and also its smaller twin Little Manitou Falls nearby. Both are a short walk of about 15 minutes from the parking lot. When you get to the bridge walk right for the taller and over the bridge for the smaller falls. There is also a beautiful lake area, nine miles of hiking trails, campsites and much more.

Great State Park just a short drive from Superior. Two waterfalls that are easy to get to with a short walk. Viewing platforms on both sides of the river provide great photo ops.

Double wow! Black river is beautiful here, has two famous Manitu falls. Campground has 59 sites, some electric. Trails are nice kept, beach, boat lunch on the tiny but pretty lake.

It’s a world class park! I mean I would drive 412 miles round trip to spend 2 hours here. If you are into waterfalls this is slightly reminiscent of Yellowstone National Parks big one, but mid-westernized.

Yes, on a leash
Yes They will be open until Laborday
Great place for family and friends. Lots of hiking
No I agree when we were walking through the tunnel we seen a woman very unhappy about it as she was struggling to get someone to the hill in a wheel chair, very unfortunate
Contact them direct but I believe just like all parks in WI you will be able to.
I'm not sure about kayaking . We didn't bring ours with because it was our first time. We don't know about fishing because we saw lots of weeds. As of now they are not selling wood there at the park you would have to go down to a gas station for it. It is a beautiful place to visit if you want to explore. Make time to see the Little Manitou Falls as you can get the closest to it. I would definitely go back if it wasn't so hard to get into. I had site 49 and it was great but the power outlet was in the wrong spot for a pull thru site. 90% of the sites were pull thru sites. There are lots of beautiful places to see. But make sure to plan your adventure ahead of time.
There are not kayak rentals available in the park.
There is a "dog beach" next to the big regular beach that dogs can go off leash and go into the water. It is a small area, with a small ramp if they have trouble climbing onto shore. The water depth in this area is like 2'-6'. My labs loved it!
