This hike is all about getting up the stairs and back. Great workout and nice views from the top.

What a workout. It’s daunting when you’re looking straight up the hillside of steps but take your time. All skill levels come here. There’s a brief trail hike to get to the bottom of the stairs. The view is breathtaking at the top of the stairs. I don’t recommend taking young kids or dogs. The stairs are just wide enough for single file up and single file down and some people truck fast up and down. Kids and dogs that need a longer break would have to sit on the side of hill as to not block the steps.

Cool spot, great workout. You see some shakes along the tail, be careful for that. Don’t follow the google Maps instructions, it takes you to a gated community.

Anza trailhead, head south not west. Right at the first two trail forks, left at the 3rd. About half a mile from the street.

Is this area gated? Can anybody go and exercise there, or is it only for Calabasas residents?

The gated area is access to the top of the stairs. You need to enter from Calabasas Rd and walk there to the bottom. This is public access but there are no signs and it's easy to take the wrong path it is just BEFORE the end of the road.
