Room was good. Bed was SUPER comfortable. It was nice being able to control the temperature in the room. There was a pool we unfortunately didn't have time to try out. They have a gym room that looks nice even with people using it around the clock. The person at check in was lacking enthusiasm but later we had trouble with wifi and another guy was at the front desk who was quite helpful and pleasant. The area was also nice with a late night dominos in the area, and other food and drink. Overall, had a great stay and would definitely come back again!

I often stay in Hampton Inn and other Hilton brands as we travel a lot for our children's sports and college search. In general, the brand has been a really great choice for someone who is traveling frequently and needs one night or two. This Hampton Inn does not live up to the brand. Rooms was small and run down and dirty. Bathroom was dirty and I saw bugs in the bedroom. Breakfast was horrible. WAY OVERPRICED simply because it is Mystic in the summer (love Mystic!). We were not there for vacation, and this was a ridiculous amount to pay. This hotel was not worth the (over) $400 per night they charged me, a Hampton Inn is supposed to be a good option for frequent travelers. Important to note, I have never been compelled to write a review before, but this hotel was really not worth the money and there are many choices in the area. The last time we went, we stayed at the Marriott - it was a little bit more but extremely lovely and clean. The Mystic area has so much to offer, just not this hotel.

We stayed at here for one night on our way back from Maine and had an excellent stay! Check in process was smooth, fast and the staff were super friendly and knowledgeable! We booked a king bed in a studio room and it was absolutely massive and extremely spacious! We had everything we needed for our stay and the free breakfast was delicious with a lot of variety. The only thing slightly annoying was that one of the neighbors in another room had a dog that barked pretty frequently. But that's to be expected at a pet friendly hotel! We had an overall great stay and we're within minutes of popular attractions.

We typically stay at Hampton Inns while travelling and most of them are nice and clean, fresh spacious rooms, and generally quiet. We have never had an 'upgrade' room this small nor a room with no chair or small couch. We had a corner room as an upgrade and that room was about the smallest room we've had in any Hampton Inn. There was a small desk and a chair for the desk, and no other chair for seating, which meant one of us had to sit on the bed. There was a small bench at the foot of the bed where we placed one of our travel bags. The sheets on the bed should have been trashed long ago. The elastic on the fitted sheet was basically shot which meant the sheets were a mess to sleep on. The room truly looked as though it hadn't been really serviced in awhile. The carpet looked and felt as though it had been some time since a vacuum had been used on it. When we went down for breakfast the next morning, there were dogs in the breakfast area, some standing up trying to get food off the counter. Two people were feeding their dogs food directly from the counters. I'd bet the state or local health inspector would not be happy to see any of that going on. There were dogs wandering the main floor hallway, jumping up on people who'd walk by carrying their breakfast to their rooms, with no one keeping their dogs on a leash. This was the worst Hampton Inn experience we've had. Because we always try to stay in Hampton Inns, we know this is nowhere near the norm. It is one, however, that we will go out of our way to avoid though.
