The Asian-Dutch lady asked “if that’s the on photo I have” in a snobby voice. Yeah, People just carry different versions of passport photos around with them! Not to mention that I was told by you to go across the street to CVS to get this specific photo earlier. Typical Dutch, giving people the runaround for no reason and trying to make them feel it’s their fault.

The Consular officer was friendly and got our aplplication done without hassles for my family. Your emails will be generally answered within a day. Overall, my experience with the consulate at SF was great.

The staff at the consul are professional and helpful. I had a few correspondence via email before making an appointment for MVV, the communication was speedy and efficient. It helped clear a lot of confusion regarding the process. Upon learning that I had already bought tickets to Amsterdam during my appointment, my application was expedited and I received the MVV sticker in two days. Very friendly and resourceful staff.

Are there any restrictions to go to Netherland from usa for dutch citizens?
Yes. But Netherlands should be your first visiting place (in case of multiple countries with almost same days at each country) or it should be the country with longest stay.
You can have your photos taken and buy a shipping label at UnionPost SF on 237 Kearny Street, very close to the Consulate General. Just mention you need them for a Dutch passport and they will make sure it meets the requirements.
same question here.
You need to call the consulate and not rely on strangers to have the right answer.
Yes
You cannot Renee by mail. It has to be in person. You have to make an appointment first. It'll be $153 for the consulate plus the passport picture and return label at a total of $65 on to of that.
You go to the Netherlands consulate in San Francisco. You can go to their website and download the application form. You will also need 2 passport photos and they have specific requirements on those so check that out on the website too. Best
Call the consulate. Dont ask here
You don’t need your passport if you have a California drivers license
Probably abour 30 minutes, I even was an hour early and they squeezed me in before my appointment.
Apparently not. There used to be a Netherlands consulate general in LA but now it's just a satellite office and it no longer does passports. The only place on the West coast to renew or apply for your Dutch passport is San Francisco. Road trip!
What a nuisance! But you can apply for an emergency passport at the Consulate and I would definitely report your stolen passport to the police and the Consulate. Very best Annelies
