Lovely! Daniel, McChrista, and others made us feel at home. You cannot beat the location, literally atop Whole Foods and only steps away from ASU. We've enjoyed our time here and will miss the striking views of Tempe from the high floors.

My husband and I have always owned a home but shifted to apartment living as we aged up (both of us are retired) and The Local where we have lived for several years now, is better than a home. It is the convenience of living in a varied urban environment (as it is right in the rapidly developing heart of downtown Tempe ) and at the same time offers the amenities living in a resort with a grocery store (Whole Foods) on the bottom floor that is only an elevator ride away. We have access to well maintained pools, a hot tub, and a well maintained fitness center with both free weights and a variety of machines, as well as well maintained gas grills and an indoor prep and eating area downstairs, along with several viewing areas around the building where one can sit, chat with friends, and look out over various sections of the rapidly developing downtown Tempe skyline. When friends ask about it I like to explain it as living in a resort that is never crowded and that is inclusive and open to those both young and old. Relative to that last point as an older couple, we are asked about the noise in the building with a diverse of age groups and have not found that to be an issue. We have never had a noise issue coming into our apartment or down the hall and we credit that to the leadership and well trained staff here at The Local who set and maintain reasonable behavior expectations that promote a diverse and inclusive environment that everyone can enjoy. We have always found the staff to be courteous, friendly, and willing to help with any questions. We have also found the building continues to be always well maintained and kept clean and it is an ideal place to live, with all it has to offer. Speaking of what it has to offer, besides both groceries, delis, and prepared foods at Whole Foods (on the bottom level), one is just a few minutes away from Mill Avenue and a variety of bars and restaurants, as well as cultural events at the Gamage Theater on the ASU campus, along with a variety of other cultural events in the same area ( plays, musical events, talks, etc.) and shortly the new Tempe streetcar will be officially running and you can get it from the stop by The Local and it takes you right by Gamage, along with an easy connection to the Phoenix light rail where one can access downtown Phoenix and Mesa without having to drive, truly an ideal location. Even if you are not young in age, but young in heart, like we are, we invite you to come and experience living at The Local, and all it has to offer. Thank you.

I have lived at “The Local” for the passed two years and couldn’t be more happier with my decision of making it HOME for me. I have been thoroughly impressed and satisfied with the full complex and staff. They staff have gone above and beyond to make it this such a great experience for me. They are quick to answers questions and ensure living arrangements are exceptional to the best of their ability. It’s such a peaceful and fun community. Location is perfect and a bonus is having Whole Foods underneath you.

The Local Apartments crew ist the most professional and friendliest leasing agency in Tempe. Very reliable and also its a great place to be. Good facilities and nice neighbors. I had my experience with other agencies early this year: "Olive "- staff very unreliable. Place ist run by students. Most disappointing is "the Union" where a student worker lied to me about leasing conditions to get me sign a contract which cost me 250 dollar. No refund when the leasing contract was very different from the features she offered me in the meeting. Finally I found a nice place to stay. I was looking for a place in a certain budget. The leasing Agents even found a way to customize a contract for me, because I couldn't stay long. The facilities - pool, gym etc - are all the money you have to spend. The rent is not higher compared to other places in downtown Tempe, but - all in all - the best you can get for your money. I can fully recommend this place.
