They help people. Unfortunately a lot are mentally ill. I would help people myself, like i did when my dad was paralyzed, but im not sure how to help these people. Maybe if i finished training i would be in that profession. Bless the people that choose to help others.

They have beds once you in there database... but till then you have a mate and yourself..the front desk avaliable and they help you out as fast as possible...if you ever experience homelessness then you know how it be, just stay to yourself and be careful people steal...

I had to get my brother out of this place he constantly had problems with people stealing his stuff while he slept, he relocated and I feel much better for his safety and peace.

It's great that they provide 3 meals a day and offered me a safe place to stay indoors and store my belongings but my God it feels like the county jail in there. The place is crowded and dirty and I had someone ask me if I wanted to buy drugs within 15 minutes of being there. The staff I dealt with was rude and seemed annoyed by simple questions asked by a first-timer. This place could be a good alternative to dying on the streets but personally I'd rather take my chances on the streets because living in that place is depressing and it feels like you're incarcerated.

Not inside the shelter you can meet them at the frount desk or out in the parking lot...
You should go to 120 W Apple St Dayton, OH 45410 instead.
Homeful no longer provides services directly from the shelters. You will need to meet with the St Vincent staff periodically for case management. There are other agencies that provide help for the homeless besides Homeful so they have changed their methods to accept referrals like all the other agencies do. In the past, one could come into the shelter and Homeful would quickly rehouse them and pay the rent for a period of time. However, funding levels fluctuate causing long delay periods occasionally, while other agencies have plenty of funding and no waiting list. To eliminate unnecessary waits and overcrowding, they started offering referral services to various agencies to provide "load balancing" and expedite the housing process. If you are in need of help, you can visit Homeful as a walk-in and you do not need to be homeless to get help. Even though they have "retooled" their services, they are actually able to help more people than before in this way. Things are improving.
They are a German Baptist group that sings for our homeless men as they serve dinner to the homeless.. very wonderful group
Do you all provide basic healthcare needs ?
If your phone is stolen the staff will not help you recover It. Further more if your clothes bags or other personal affects are stolen the staff will not assist you in its recovery.
As long as you're not belligerently drunk or can tell that you've been drinking to the point that you are wasted then you should not have a problem but they do not test for
They use to im not sure if they do anymore but they do have resources to people who do
