I went on a tour of the recycling facility this morning and found it really fascinating. Everything is actually sorted by hand! It was truly shocking to see how much waste is tossed in the blue bin including diapers and sharp wire that could injure the workers. I encourage everyone to take one of their tours and see for themselves. It’s also extremely important to only put the items recology can actually recycle into the blue bins.

Recology has been a great partner and leader in helping our company and community implement Zero Waste efforts. They have helped conduct individualized trainings for our team to make sure we are being comprehensive and through in redesigning how we use materials at our business to make sure we can compost and recycle as much as possible.

We are so thankful to Recology Sonoma Marin for donating trash pickup services to the Russian River Watershed Cleanup! With their help, our volunteers were able to pick up and dispose of a HUGE amount of trash in the Russian River before high waters would have carried it all away to the ocean. Many thanks to the whole team at Recology for making this happen!

Working with the team at Recology Sonoma Marin to partner in support of all local Petaluma students has been amazing. Repairs to bins we service are repaired by our staff, don't believe we sell lids. I'm a driver you'd have to call customer service. Hope that helps

Wrap in towel and brake glass with hammer. Bend frames to fit in recycle container along with broken glass.

Have you considered offering an every-other-week pickup service for a reduced rate? People opting for it could simply paint a red or yellow line around their containers. Another option being considered by me and a neighbor is to pool our garbage.
