I have lived in these Apartments before as I raised my kids back in the be ninety is when I first lived here it was great maintenance was efficient knowledgeable of their job. The grounds were kept and know one had trash on there patio. Now 15 and some years later they charging 1600 dollars rent but I got to live with rats in the shed to close to in home. They send a exterminator out that put a box outside the house a week ago, no rat but my ex put traps in the shed they ate the peanut butter and left the traps but they going in the box really. And you call this upscale . Get rid of the rats before you rent to others

These apartments are in a good location and have lots of young families living there- the reasons we enjoyed living here. There are also nice sidewalks for walking. However, the apartments are very old and poorly maintained. Maintenance crews “fix” problems on a very surface level, so issues repeat over and over again. Many of the bushes in front of the homes have wasps nesting underneath them, so there are lots of bees in the summer. While there are quite a few grassy areas, those areas often have trash and glass all over (not ideal when you have a little one wanting to run around). The pool was nice, but we never really had access to the gym when we were there- a construction plan was always “in the works,” and when it was open, it was only open from (I believe) 1pm-6pm... so most people couldn’t use it since they were working at those times. The biggest issue we had was when we were moving out. The apartment has a 60 day notice policy, meaning you give 60 days notice when moving out. We went in to the office in January (were moving in May) to give them notice, and one of the office workers verbally confirmed that it had been noted and we were in the clear. Following that conversation, we had multiple conversations with the office staff about preparing to move out. Never- until two weeks prior to moving- did an employee think to mention that they needed a hard copy, written document stating notice. The lease DOES say to bring in a hard copy statement, but like I said, a worker had told us (in person) that our moving plan had been noted and we were good to go. Two weeks before we were supposed to move, we were told that the verbal confirmation we had received of giving notice was null (actually, I think they suggested it never happened). In the middle of the covid shutdown, they chose, not only to continue charging us rent beyond our contract, but to do so at the prorated amount (which was much higher than what we had been paying). The amount of money it takes to live here is not worth the interactions with management, or the poorly maintained homes. If that price is your budget, it would make way more sense to go live at Legacy or another complex in the area (there are a few, similarly priced).
