I was rear-ended three months ago on my way to work. This Law Office is very professional and they helped me with all of my needs. I had so many questions and they answered every single one of them. They're there to help, so reach out with any inquiry you have. I reached out to them and they are diligent in working with the other insurance company to help me through this process. I would definitely recommend Sweet Lawyers to all my friends and family.

Sweet Lawyers | May 3, 2022

When involved in an accident resulting in personal injury, there are steps that you should follow to ensure physical, financial, and legal protection for yourself: -The most important thing to do is to go to a doctor and get medical assistance for any bodily injury as soon as possible. -Collect evidence from the accident, such as proof of negligence, the names and contact information of others involved in the accident, photographs, and videos of the scene, filing a police complaint, and anything else that can help prove negligence and improve your case. -Contact a Sweet Law Group personal injury lawyer to represent you and help you through the next steps of your personal injury claim. When filing a lawsuit, it is important to remain confidential with your personal injury information. It is usually a good idea to check with your attorney on how to proceed. Following these guidelines is crucial in order to strengthen your case as well as the possibility of financial recovery.

Why won't the insurance company give me what my car is worth?

Sweet Lawyers | Apr 3, 2022
Sweet Lawyers | Apr 3, 2022

Insurance companies want to save as much money as possible. If they can find any way to justify paying you less than what your car is actually worth, that is what they will do. The same applies for any medical treatment or costs you incur after your accident. Allow us to help you hold them accountable for what their insured did to you. It is our goal to help you maximize your recovery for what you truly deserve.

How much is my case worth?

Sweet Lawyers | Mar 4, 2022
Sweet Lawyers | Mar 4, 2022

Any law firm that tells you upfront what your case is worth is doing you a disservice. The reason being is that your settlement depends on various factors that will not be accurately calculable until a thorough investigation has been conducted. These factors include: 👉How the accident occurred; 👉The damage to your vehicle; 👉The other party’s policy limits; 👉Your own insurance coverage; 👉Your medical treatment; and 👉Several other factors. Simply, there is no good way to estimate the value of your case at its beginning stages. However, Sweet Lawyers has a proven track record of getting our clients more compensation for their case than other firms are able to achieve.

How long will it take for my case to be over?

Sweet Lawyers | Mar 4, 2022
Sweet Lawyers | Mar 4, 2022

Similar to firms telling you upfront what your case is worth, any law firm that tells you the exact time when your case will be over e.g., 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, is doing you a disservice. The reason being is that each case is unique and cannot be reduced down to a cookie-cutter timeline. Several factors go into play when determining the length of your case such as: How badly you have been injured; Whether liability is clear; Your medical treatment; The other party’s policy limits; Your own insurance coverage; and Several other factors. The most important factor is that we don’t want you to prematurely stop your treatment just because of a predetermined deadline. You have been injured and deserve to be fully compensated for your injuries. Also, once a settlement has been reached, the other party’s insurance will require you to sign a contract waiving your right to sue again in the future.

What should I tell the defendant's insurance company?

Sweet Lawyers | Feb 2, 2022
Sweet Lawyers | Feb 2, 2022

Do not communicate with the defendant’s insurance company. Their goal is to save money. It is best to let your attorney speak on your behalf to preserve your right to full compensation.

I got hit and the other driver took off. What can I do?

Steve Jones | Feb 2, 2022
Sweet Lawyers | Feb 2, 2022

It is not uncommon for the at-fault party to flee the scene; this is called a Hit-and-Run. Many people flee because they have no insurance. Make sure to still file a police report as this will preserve your statement and will allow the police to conduct an investigation on your behalf. Adding uninsured or underinsured motorist coverage (“UM or UIM”) to your insurance policy will help protect you in situations such as this. UM or UIM will allow your insurance to step into the shoes of the defendant and will NOT affect your insurance rates. Call us today so we can guide you through your options.

What should I do if the other party doesn’t have insurance?

Sonu | Jan 3, 2022
Sweet Lawyers | Jan 3, 2022

Check to see if you have uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage (“UM or UIM”) . However, if you only have basic coverage, you may still have options. Our attorneys will help guide you through your options and find the best way to proceed.

What if I was injured and don’t have car insurance?

Jackob Smith | Jan 3, 2022
Sweet Lawyers | Jan 3, 2022

California Proposition 213 limits the options for accident victims who did not have insurance at the time of the accident. While you will be excluded from non-economic damages (loss of earnings), an experienced attorney can make sure your property damage and medical bills are compensated. Because Proposition 213 cases are more complicated, it is best to contact an attorney as soon as possible.

How much do you charge?

Tenner S. Walker | Jan 3, 2022
Sweet Lawyers | Jan 3, 2022

We work on a contingency basis. This means no ridiculous hourly fees i.e., “retainer fee.” You pay NOTHING unless you recover. We charge nothing upfront. You only pay when you win.

Jackob Smith | Dec 4, 2021
Sweet Lawyers | Dec 4, 2021

What should I tell my insurance company?

Henry Lee | Dec 4, 2021
Sweet Lawyers | Dec 4, 2021

Before speaking with your insurance company, it is best to talk to a lawyer at Sweet Lawyers. Remember, an insurance adjuster’s goal is to save money for the insurance company–they are not there to help you. Sweet Lawyers will always make sure your best interests are protected.
