One and done. This place needs a major renovation. Dingy feel, torn and outdated furniture. Pool area is a mess with rotted wood and fixtures. The room was bare and dirty. The bathroom tiles full of mold. The ceiling fan covered in nasty dirt. The bathroom towels are thin and measly. The climate/ac is controlled by floor. I could go on. Also, didn’t realize hotel is not necessarily walking distance to beach or other parts of Asbury Park entertainment and dining area. Only positive was friendly, but not particularly welcoming, front desk staff. There are much better options at this price point.

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel several times over the years. We have always had an amazing experience. The staff and management are excellent. This is a boutique hotel, so it is small, but it has all the amenities, including a mini-fridge in the closet, complementary waters, and one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept it. We had to stay once during COVID, so their policies have changed. You have to sign-in at the pool, wear a mask in the public spaces, and not enter or congregate in the lobby/bar/dining area. I’ve seen a couple of 1 star reviews, and they seem unfair given Gov. Murphy is the one that set the rules, and if the hotel staff doesn’t enforce them, they run the risk of being shut down entirely. During our stay, the staff was nothing but kind and accommodating. In fact, we had to leave a bag to get the car, we simply asked the staff person on duty, if we could leave it by the desk and it was a non-issue. When we had lunch outside, they sanitized (cleaned the tables and then sprayed them with something I could only assume was like Lysol). The food was fantastic, as were the drinks. I recommend the Chicken Milanese and pear martini. I noticed they were requiring people to sign in to use the pool area. All of these precautions made me feel extremely comfortable about venturing out during this pandemic. It is only one of 3 places I have been to each since March and I can’t wait to return!

Horrible, insensitive owner/manager. After booking a room, my partner and I went to get our stuff. I left some of our stuff discreetly behind a couch (for a second) and my partner stayed with our kid just until I fetched the rest of our stuff from the car. The owner kept nagging my partner about wearing a mask. She is hearing impaired and has difficulty wearing a mask because it makes it harder to hear herself talk but they didn't care and basically kicked her out of the lobby. Fine, but then they wanted her, a young girl, to come back into the lobby and pick up our bags and bring it outside too while she's trying to care of our toddler. Again, I was already on my way back to bring the stuff to our room but no, they needed it moved right away. Naturally my partner was annoyed from all their nagging and the haughty owner decided that she was acting disrespectfully even though she was trying her best to abide to his insensitive requests; wearing a mask even though she's hearing impaired, pick up heavy baggage even though she a young girl and trying to take care of a toddler. They asked us to leave even though it was getting dark and we were forced to stay in a 2 star motel over the weekend. This owner's arrogance ruined our trip. The place is small, there's no elevator, and the're aren't even basic stuff in most rooms like a fridge. The owner manager is a tyrant and should not be in the hosting business. Take your business elsewhere.

This place was amazing! Stayed here with my girlfriend, brother and his wife and we had an amazing time. We have been to Asbury Park in the past but have heard great things about this and decided to check it out ourselves. We spent two nights there and the rooms were very cozy, good size for what we needed. The staff was incredibly friendly, funny and welcoming. They open up the pool to the public after 12:00pm but it is a relaxed and fun environment. I didn't get a chance to try their restaurant, however, I did hear great things about the food and service. Would absolutely come back soon and recommend to anyone who wants a quick weekend getaway. Thank you!
