Came out with my partner and fur baby to enjoy the sun and get something to eat. We are a little picky so we just don’t eat anywhere. So seeing this restaurant on the boardwalk was cute. The smells coming from inside made us run to a table. Staff is friendly and attentive. Ordered the Cuban sandwich yucca balls with cheese and the skirt steak. Everything was delicious and fulfilling.

I wish there was some flavor. We tried the Cuban place at Asbury park boardwalk and tbh it was very blah. The arroz conpollo (sp.) was a poor representative of Cuban cuisine. The chicken was very dry and the overall dish lacked flavor. We both had some and it was very bland. Tasteless really. A super generic dish you can make with some leftovers at home and knorr rice mix. The salad with garlic shrimp was slightly better but not by much. The dressing saved it a bit, however the shrimp was ok not too much garlic and just a bit too cooked. It was ok and passable but nothing great. The margaritas have way way too much lime. To the restaurants credit they took 15% off the chicken dish. Overall pricey disappointing. Cuban food is supposed to be a bit spicy and definitely should never lack flavor.

Staff was cool and the drinks were flowing but...the food can be much better. I personally don't need over the top presentation but the flavors need to be there. Knowing different types of Latin dishes, I have to say this place is bland. You can help it with some salt but not at all impressed. Even after putting down a few drinks, 😐. I get maybe dumbing it down a bit for the general crowd but this needs work. Owner needs to try these dishes again and make adjustments. These prices require quality. Again the service was great and I don't want to take away from that. Please try your own food and make the adjustments.
