There is such a thing as Asbury Oyster Bar - yes, on Asbury Park Beach. This is a no-fuss no mas Oyster place for - you guessed it - oyster lovers. I just wanted a dozen; our awesome server Jess suggested: the local oysters du jour. Those were delicious. This place gets a resounding go-for-it to recommend from me.

Fun snack stop in Asbury! Nice selection of wines by the glass. The individual oyster prices were the highest I've seen in a while. But they have deal on local oysters at six for $16, so we had those. They make a very tasty housemade cocktail sauce. We had pigs in a blanket, shrimp cocktail, and Thai wings. They only disappointing dish was the clams. There was not a lot of flavor because there was a lot of liquid that watered down the clams, tomatoes, tarragon, and onions. Bartender was very friendly and helpful.

Excellent experience. Food was outstanding. Oysters were very very good. The 1 star reviews are not balanced. My wife loved the salmon salad. I had the fish and chips and it was really good. The oysters were great. Craig was our waiter and was very nice. A great find you won’t regret. IPA was great as well.
