Pretty spot for an easy hike. Looks to be a great spot for kids - there’s a tire swing and a large sandbox and the loop trails around the “cobble” are short and have a good amount of variety to keep the little ones entertained. I missed the vista because I didn’t bring a map with me and mistakenly thought it was along one of the trails on the cobble, but it’s not. Lesson learned to be better prepared!

We came to Bartholomew’s Cobble (Sheffield MA) to drive north to Natural Bridge to see the colors. What we’ve seen on our way out from Northampton was already beautiful. The “peak colors” seem close. BC had a bathroom that was open but marked “closed”. Beautiful Mountain views both East and West. We hiked up Hurlbert’s Hill which was 1.3 moderate miles. Our pictures below are from the top of HH.

Beautiful spot for an easy trek around the coble and on the surrounding trails. Excellent views from Hurlbert's Hill. Well worth the uphill walk.

Beautiful trails along the Housatonic river, fantastic rock formations and ledges, easy to difficult hikes, many choices.

No,Sadly there are not
No you don't. It's not a National Park.
I didn't see any numbers but there are signs at the beginning of each trail saying which is which and the trails are very clearly distinct from the rest of the woods so you don't have to worry about wandering away from the trail you're on
I use to love walking from gramma conklin's house, to the cobble. I was only a young child at the time. We were given bird seed in our hand and small birds would land on our hands and eat. I thought that was so cool. I miss those days in ashley falls.
