Great place for the family. There's so much to do. At the aquarium part there's a variety of native life, sharks, penguins, anacondas, octopus, jelly fish, etc. There's a pool where people can touch manta rays. Also indoors there's a dinosaur museum. There's a section on extreme weather. We saw a singing meerkat show and the narrator/host was amazing! Downstairs are the snakes and reptiles. We saw a large variety of venomous and non& venomous snakes. Outside is the zoo. We saw animals we've never seen at other zoos before like an okapi, maned wolf, and a variety of wild cats. The cafe was reasonably priced and had hot and cold options. There's a cafeteria downstairs to sit and eat where it's more quiet than up in the lobby. Overall I recommend this place!

Had a wonderful time visiting the center. It would have been better on a cooler day or maybe earlier in the morning. The kids did not enjoy the zoo part in the heat and the animals were smart staying inside. Was impressed with the amount of butterflies they had. Lots of play areas for kids to enjoy. The aquarium section had a good variety of fish and other animals to see. The dinosaur area was okay but wasn't a highlight. Pretty basic. Bonus we got to see the baby red panda they had in the hospital building. It was so adorable.

My first visit since 1989, why did I wait so long? It was a family all-day outing, with local immediate family, and visiting out-of-state extended family, ages 6 to 60. Everyone enjoyed everything! Animal exhibits were appropriately sized, with plenty of room to roam, clean and well-kept; animals looked healthy, well-tended and fed; guides were fairly knowledgeable, pleasant, and eager to answer questions. It was the first really hot day of the season, glad to have the ample shady and cool places to take occasional rest breaks. Like very much we could bring in our coolers, and also have a place to enjoy picnic lunch. The café is a nice affordable option to bring your own. Loved the aquarium, the interactive scientific exhibits, the animal hospital, the petting zoo, play areas, everything! The carousel is especially nice and enjoyable, a good end to the day. Can't wait to see the new expansions and exhibits when they open. We are considering season passes for the family.

This place is fun for all ages. I see why so many people were here. It was so much to see and we loved every bit of it. We got tickets on a whim and they were for 30 mins before closing, thanks to Lori A. We were able to come back the next day with no issues and enjoy the full museum. If your kids like the new movie Turning Red they will love going here and see the Red Pandas in the zoo.

Prices have changed. $14.50 for adults, $13.50 for kids 3-13 and seniors, free for kids 2 and under. Groups rates: It depends. There's a chart at www.greensboroscience.org/visit/groups/pricing/index.html
A senior is usually 62 at least that's when you can get your Social Security benifits I would think that would be the age but not certain
Yes. Even if you can't make it outside....well worth the visit for the inside attractions.
You can just walk up but it's alot easier to go ahead and order online. So you know you have a slot in time to go .... Go ahead and order online :)
Yes. In the back there is a whole lake and shelters with grills. Open area to spread a blanket and have a ball.
You can stay as long as you would like me and my daughter went and had a blast
Am adult. Did enjoy much! Went on kindergarten field trip and we stayed an extra 2 hours after the buses went back to school.
Its $13.50 for adults and $12.50 for kids over 1. Also be prepared to spend a little bit more if you want to do the omnisphere shows. The SkyWild Course is also about $46 for adults and $43 for children. $3 off for military discount.
It is a 360 degree Dome Theater very similar to IMAX that shows all different types of movies or presentations especially those dealing with flight or space, the stars and planets. Would highly recommend anyone to go see. Enjoy!😊👍
Yes! There are benches located throughout the facility ☺
Not that I'm aware of. Adults were $16.00. Children were $15.00.
Scan on phone and/or use reservation number
I was told that they did not give AARP or senior discounts, when we were there last week
This facility is wheelchair accessible and there is a discount for senior citizens.
You can! Just be aware that our zoo animals often choose to be indoors during rainy weather, so you may or may not see them!

For us (two adults) admission + the wicked plants exhibit was like 37.50. I payed with a card. I recommend bringing extra money (some of it quarters) for some of the cool things you can buy and do once you're in.
When we went, someone had their dog in the zoo portion. The tiger was eyeing it for lunch... lol
Yes.. you paid for entry, but it worth it.. plus l suggests you to ask to buy tickets for the 3 d movie of the space... real good...

No it's not open. You can walk around and look at the animals, but no touching.
They still have a fair bit of the science center open. Yes, it's $15 bucks per person. But it's still a really awesome place and you still get the majority of the science center to explore. Just no kids areas. Aquarium, zoo, weather room, Dino areas, gift shop, and café are all open. It's worth it just to get out of the house.

I would say to any parent to give this a try and your kids and yourself will love every minute of it. A+++ rating. Try it out for sure.
Yes, it is open and well worth the visit. The staff is very knowledgeable and more than willing to talk.
