If you decide to go to gatehouse, make sure you have documents signed and notarized before paying. Especially if you speak with Chad or Tyler. We paid 5,000 dollars, was given an address to check in. Then all the sudden they said we had to pay more money before I could not check in. We trusted Chad and now we had 5,000 dollars stolen and did not receive the help I needed. I hope this review helps someone who needs proper mental health treatment.

Gatehouse is very unprofessional. 3 years ago I attended & the staff does not care about your well being. It’s all about the money: Some of the staff shouldn’t be in this field at all. Accidental in august a 3 month prescription of medication got sent to the girls IOP house & when I tried calling to retrieve the package as well as the postal office nobody called me after several days of calling admissions (which admissions takes this as a joke) my medication is in someone’s hands & they are trying to avoid calling. Why not search the girls ? Why not call me right away to tell me where my medication is ? 3 months worth of medication & gatehouse has yet to call me it’s been over a month. They are sneaky, the staff is unprofessional & they do not care about your well being obviously with the perfect example of my medication missing & I still haven’t heard from the director . You can be sneaky but lies catch up . I don’t recommend gatehouse for anybody. Many people left (staff) because of the unprofessionalism.

Of course when you first get anywhere either straight from detox or another program you feel not so comfortable, little bit on edge. But Gatehouse staff is very good at what they do and I am proud to say that they are part of my family. They were there for me from the start even though I was fighting it. The change that i have had in myself is night and day. They gave me tools to use, not only for sobriety, but life skills I didn't think I'd ever have. I am very grateful for having gone through the program, I not only love my Gatehouse family, I can say with pride I love the person I've become.

I had an over all wonderful experience at GateHouse Treatment. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and understanding when it comes to recovery and continuing sobriety. They are willing to help in all areas of rebuilding your life. They made me feel an overwhelming sense of comfort from the second I walked through the doors, I now feel capable of living a new way of life, and am optimistic towards the future, where when coming in I felt the opposite. I couldn't thank GateHouse more the opportunity and for the quality of life that I now know possible.

no phones or anything on the internet till Iop which is usually by how good he or she is doing mostly 30 days though
No you dont need to have clean time. Just usually detox prior to entering. it is a 24 hour living sober community that provides PHP to start, and goes into IOP, after a month with supervision the whole time. It's a great place to start your journey to sobriety, with lots of great people to help guide you along the way
that would not be healthy
You may be an alcoholic if you are experiencing a pattern of alcohol use that involves problems controlling your drinking, being preoccupied with alcohol, continuing to use alcohol even when it causes problems, having to drink more to get the same effect, and/or having withdrawal symptoms when you rapidly decrease or stop drinking.
Signs of heroin addiction symptoms include: overall sedation, memory issues, inability to concentrate, slowed reaction times, lethargy, and mood swings. Since heroin can slow the digestive system, users often experience constipation and other intestinal issues.
Signs of drug addiction can vary from person to person. However the most common signs are: difficulties at school, disinterest in school-related activities, and declining grades; poor work performance, being chronically late to work, appearing tired and disinterested in work duties, and receiving poor performance reviews; changes in physical appearance, such as wearing inappropriate or dirty clothing and a lack of interest in grooming; altered behavior, such as an increased desire for privacy; drastic changes in relationships; a noticeable lack of energy when performing daily activities; pending more money than usual or requesting to borrow money; issues with financial management, such as not paying bills on time; changes in appetite, such as a decreased appetite and associated weight loss; bloodshot eyes, poor skin tone, and appearing tired or run down; and defensiveness when asked about substance use.
A fentanyl overdose occurs when an individual uses an excessive quantity or amount of the drug. A fentanyl overdose will result in several characteristic physical symptoms which may include: confusion; dizziness; difficulty thinking; speaking; walking; blue or purple lips, fingernails, or extremities; vomiting; choking sounds; seizures; slowed heart rate; limp body; unresponsiveness; difficulty breathing; hypoventilation; respiratory arrest; and death.
Evidence-based addiction treatment is a program that utilizes treatment modalities that have been rigorously assessed in experimental evaluations, supported by scientific research, and have shown to make a positive, statistically significant difference in helping an individual maintain long-term recovery.
Outpatient addiction treatment varies in the types and intensity of services offered. An outpatient addiction program offers treatment services that can be scheduled during various times throughout the week. This schedule allows the individual to continue with their regular responsibilities and continue living at home but are required to check into treatment at their allotted times for counseling and other services.
Residential treatment centers consist of either a long-term or short-term treatment program. Long-term residential treatment provides care 24 hours a day, generally in a non-hospital setting, with planned lengths of stay between 6 and 12 months. Short-term residential programs provide intensive but relatively brief treatment, with a length of stay of typically 30 days. Treatment at the residential level, whether long-term or short-term, is highly structured with activities designed to help individuals develop the tools to overcome their substance use, manage co-occurring disorders, and achieve long-term recovery.
Current relapse rates show that there is a 40 to 60% chance that individuals who attend addiction treatment will relapse. However, this does not mean that treatment is not effective. Like any other chronic disease such as diabetes or asthma, relapses are unfortunately common. Medical research has proven that addiction and alcoholism are diseases, not just a lack of willpower or complete carelessness. Though relapse rates are currently 40 to 60% of individuals who attend treatment, this still means that 40 to 60% of individuals who attend treatment stay sober.
Addiction treatment programs provide valuable help to individuals struggling with alcohol and/or drug abuse. Addiction treatment programs, settings, and type are highly variable and will differ in varying levels of treatment intensiveness and services offered.
The cost of addiction treatment varies between each center. Additionally, the type of care offered by an addiction treatment center also varies and affects the total cost. Treatment types are also different for some addictions and there are many other factors that affect the cost of treatment, from medical care to amenities.
