I held a membership for years and began personal training- and had an awesome experience with my trainer. There is a Google review detailing this awesome experience with my trainer. I continued to utilize the equipment (that was not out of order)at gym until the pandemic, and then I was hospitalized on and off for months. I have not used the gym since March 2020. Over the phone explained my illness and hospitalizations to staff and was assured I’d be canceled as disability and hospital admissions at the time did it allow for me to stop in and cancel. It physically was not possible. I had this conversation with multiple staff members, multiple times, and not one time did the owner or manager call back per my request, nor did they make a note on my account. For months they continued to charge my card until I attempted to resolve the matter once again. You might think that you would notice these charges after such phone calls, but after when your newborn baby is in the Intensive care, everything else falls away. Once I noticed, I immediately canceled my card and disputed charges with the financial company. And called, AGAIN. I wrote a letter to the Boyette location as instructed again by someone on the phone, and surprise- they never received it, and said it takes “up to 4 weeks to receive and enter mail into the system” They emailed and called morning noon and night to collect for months that should have never been charged. Once our health allowed, my first stop was Worx 24 hour fitness to cancel my membership. They need the money more than I do, so I paid to be rid of their continued unethical business and harassment.
