We hiked the public trails through the forest, very shady, no intense hills, super buggy the whole time. Highly recommend some sort of bug repellent if you want a peaceful walk. Clean, no litter to be seen anywhere. “Take nothing, Leave nothing” The Fairy houses were my favorite part!

Always a fun hike! Not too muddy right now!

It was my 3rd hike in the WNY Hiking Challenge. Hike was fine, lots of dead trees on the ground. I thought the fairy garden was cute and the fact that you could build a frog home.

Trails are open 24/7. Great place to bring the family for some little hikes or to visit the gift shop and reptile room.

The weather is really warm so the bugs haven't died yet. They won't need your feeders as much until it gets really cold!
All programs are open, and will occur at their scheduled times and locations throughout the nature center's preserves, weather permitting. More than 40 well-marked trails are open, located throughout the nature center. Trail Maps are located at the front door and in the parking lot Kiosk. You'll find many exciting species of birds, animals and other wildlife along the trails near the pond, the meadows and in the old growth forests. Trails are open daily from Sunrise to Sunset. The Center restrooms are open to the public Tues-Sat. 10 AM until 4 PM. The Nature Center and giftshop are currently closed, but will be re-opening to in the very near future. There is a port-a-john, always available in the main parking lot. Please follow the CDC guidelines for our region when enjoying both indoor and outdoor activities. We welcome all members & guests, and visitors to Beaver Meadow.Audubon Donations are gratefully accepted. Memberships are affordable and available.
They have done it in the past. I dont believe they had one this past year.
The trails I've seen are for nature watching and I would think not good for backpacking or running.
