Finished up the Lake Placid 9 on vacation! Catamount seemed better marked than reviews said, but we hot off trail on Pitchoff and found it poorly marked in areas. However all were great hikes, very challenging and great views!

The Adirondacks are a magical place, no matter what season you decide to visit. Take a drive along one of the many winding roads, park along the side and go for a hike, and take advantage of all the beauty these mountains have to offer. There are hiking trails that go for miles and creeks that run every which way, making fishing an awesome experience as well. With all of the wildlife, it's also a hunter's heaven! There are family campgrounds and single sites all over the place, so whether you're a tent, cabin or trailer type, there's somewhere you can go. The little villages are adorable and have shopping, skiing, water-sports...I just fell in love! Whatever you do, don't forget your camera when you go. The scenery is amazing and you never know what you might find. It's an awesome place to capture some great family photos as well..
