We had a wonderful time visiting this sanctuary. The enclosures were clean and all the animals seemed to be well loved by the volunteers. It was wonderful having an opportunity to be up close with the Great Horned Owl and his handler so obviously adored her and enjoyed sharing how magnificent she is with the visitors. Plan to sponsor/adopt an animal ASAP. Thank you for your care for these beautiful birds.

very interesting assortment of mostly birds. Make sure you stop off to talk to spirit the crow and if you wait long enough he will say hello to you! From what I understand they are going to relocate so before you travel there make sure they haven’t relocated yet. And while you’re there drop a $20 bill and a donation jar to help keep them doing what they do so well.

I adored this place. Staff was amazing with tons of knowledge for the animals and you walked in and knew the animals were very well loved and cared for. The owl was awesome and the crow who says "HI" just made my day! There is also a cute little playground and beachy/picnic area on the other side if the parking lot where you could relax with the kids and have a peaceful day. 😊 Great time!

This is a cute little bird rescue center. With it's adorable main beauty a owl named Luna that is a white owl. The staff are friendly and incredibly informative. It's free to get in, but they ask you to donate to help take care of the birds. The area is also really beautiful.

You'll have to call and ask them. When you are there in person there is a 10-gallon water jug to put money in for donations.
Entrance is free but they have a donation box which I highly recommend donating too because their work there is so important and they can use all the help they can get. They also have a visitors book so you can put where you are visiting from. You will love this place!
Yes, I'm sure they can help him. Regular drop off times are from 8am - 4pm.
Yes, there is a gift shop, and it does have children's books!
I believe you need to call them and volunteers will come pick it up, although I am not sure.
They are still there
There are some beautiful and rare owls on display there, and the workers know everything about them! You and your mom will enjoy it!
You can fish from the boardwalk along the canal. The area along the beach has a sea wall and a lot of rocks that would be a hard area to fish.
I believe the public pelican feeds are still temporarily canceled. They used to be at 2:30pm.
It's all birds!
I believe 9 am to 6pm
If you visit them in person you could probably ask anyone of their staff or support them by buying items from their gift shop
He is! They have at least 4 different owls there!
I think so... its ground level... not sure of door widths...
Service animals are allowed, but pets are highly discouraged to avoid stressing any of the resident animals.
I think so, the surrounding areas are all flat and paved if you can get inside you can still see part of it from outside. Understand the place is very small.
There is a boat ramp but no boat dock.
You need to call them. Not sure they follow this.
There is Sun-N-Campground and Punta Gorda RV Resort, in case you have an RV
Sarasota Jungle Gardens has a huge flock(?) of flamingoes. You can buy flamingo food on your way in, so you can get up close & personal with them!
They take all Florida native wildlife. If you need to rehome a domestic pet Animal Welfare League is who you need.
There isn't one. They only take donations. They also have a super cute gift shop and the proceeds go to the wildlife center.

Entrance is free. You can donate to help them keep up the good work they do!
No, the Peace River Wildness Center does not take old mobile phones. You may donate old mobile phones to the Charlotte County Sheriff's office. They redistribute them to various sources.
Yes we have seen Golden Eagles in SW Florida! It is very possible you have spotted one.
It is wonderful, especially if you are there for a feeding! We were there for a 2:30 snack. The visiting pelicans were too funny! The volunteers are so generous with their knowledge. Take your recyclables to donate
I think so. Could be repurposed in several ways I believe.
Not sure but I hope not.
