Always awesome in all seasons. Waterway is cleaner upriver, grounds are clean, pet control is good. It's unfenced so you should not come if you don't have voice control of your dog.

This dog park has so many potential and could be a great spot, however, for an off leash park, there all sorts of open spots and loops for the dogs to wonder off easily. I was there for less than an hour and 2 dogs already ran off and left with one of the owners still looking. All kind of natural looking barriers can be placed around the perimeter as a fence so visitor and their dogs can actually enjoy the space.

Situated in the park below my house, people come from all over the country and surrounding areas to bring their dog to play with other dogs and catch up with friends. Lubber Run empties into Four Mile Run here, so the dogs have ample opportunities to play in the water as well. The water isn’t deep, so even smaller dogs seem comfortable to Run and chase each other in and out of the water. The parking is ample for all vehicles. Come try it out.

A hidden gem in Arlington! My pup and his friend loved it. They love every dog park but the fact that this one has a place to swim and plenty room to run was nice and I’m happy that I found this place. I parked at the top of the hill and took a 6 minute walk to the dog park but if you continue down past the first parking lot that you see you will come across a parking lot way closer to the dog park.

Questions & Answers

Do you consider the bathroom/playground/picnic areas part of the dog park? Google is asking weird questions.

No. That is far off from the dog park. There are signs at the dog park telling you the limits of the park. In reality it is not too big to say the least. If I were in the area of the bathroom and kids area I would have my dog on a leash.

Are there any fences to keep dogs contained or is it open?

No fences but there are natural boundaries like a creek and a wooded hill. :)
