We are new snowbirds from Ohio, to The Village. It is a beautiful Village with like minded 55+ friends and neighbors. Peaceful and entertaining to say the least. Come visit. Update : My wife and I signed the lease for a third year, upcoming. We knew we really enjoyed La Casa, but since we have become more engrained here, we have made really great relationships with couples from all over the U.S. This is one of the only parks in the area that we have found that has much trees and grass yards as opposing concrete or gravel... Being retired we can be busy or relaxed as much as we want, with the full schedule of events in the village or all of the landmarks and great restaurants in the area or beaches to visit at the gulf or Atlantic sides within an hour and a half. I enjoy my time in Ohio from May till October, but we have come to anticipate our Florida summer all winter long...

We just finished our 7th season at La Casa Del Sol. We love it here! We have fixed up our cottage to our own tastes and have used our lanai as another living area. There are so many things to do, from playing ukuleles/guitars with friends, playing cards and games throughput the week, taking planned trips to area attractions..even going to Key West and New Orleans! We have many groups of friends, who are now like family...some are closer to us than our friends back home . We have visited our Canadian friends in Ontario, and they have visited us in New York. We have weekly coffee meetings when our Activity Directors fill us in on what is going on for that week. Most streets have monthly coffee latches, and now happy hours for those living on our street. So many activities from dances, professional entertainers, Octoberfest, shuffleboard, bowling golfing.....we even have our own chorus!! Karaoke is a popular event, as well as BINGO, and billiards! We have crafts, a Ladies’ Luncheon and Disney World is only 20 minutes away. We are eligible for resident status there and can get discount season passes. We are already looking forward to going back in the fall! Obviously, we are very happy in Paradise!

My wife & I first visited LaCasa 11 years ago. We enjoyed the whole experience there so much we've returned there year after year. It's almost like a family vacation.....so many warm, kind and helpful people return year after year just like us.....and some of those for over 25 winter seasons. The onsite manager, Karen, is just plain friendly and helpful. She and her office staff keep everything running smoothly. Karen works well with the residents and coordinates with other "Village" staff members to effectively resolve every concern. The maintenance supervisor, Bennie, and his crew stay on top of all the day to day operational work. The social directors, Connie & Don, coordinate the incredible variety of planned activities like dances, ice cream socials, picnics, travel, board games, fitness, choral, instrumental music groups, bingo, library....just to name a few. It's a truly wonderful place to spend the Winter.

I have “snow birded” it at la Casa del Sol for about ten years and I look forward to returning every December. It is a wonderful community of retirees who enjoy a friendly inclusive environment with many fun resident led events and activities including volunteer opportunities at nearby Give Kids the World Village. We have a great team of office and maintenance staff that take care of our needs in a very responsive manner, the Manager, Karen, does a great job of handling the diverse needs and concerns of residents, always keeping the best interest of the entire community in mind. Time and again, she goes out of her way to resolve any problems that arise in a professional and fair manner. Great place to enjoy central Florida and convenient access to the Atlantic or the Gulf.
