My husband and I have nothing bad to say about Bayfront Health! The staff made our stay comfortable and the least stressful they could! My nurse Megan was hands-down, the best nurse I have had in a long time, if not ever!!

Outrageous and very unprofessional have had three separate dates set to deliver our twins she is now over 39 weeks and rescheduled again because doctors aren’t even at the hospital, family flew in from all over the country 3 weeks ago for our first “delivery” many have since had to leave and many of us haven’t been able to even return to work in almost a month now bc dates keep changing and no follow through worst experience ever at this hospital, the triage room both this trip and the last trip was absolutely disgusting and unsanitary, smelled very much of urin and floors clearly haven’t been cleaned in quite some time, I had all my new babies pillows and things we brought for them and am certainly going to take them to get cleaned again after this trip, my other children were born at st. Pete general and we always received a plus card at that facility! I certainly don’t recommend this hospital to bring your new loved ones in with a healthy beginning. We now have an appointment for 7-14 and I’m very unnerved about our twins being deliver here, will certainly update how the delivery experience goes I must say very much on edge and not confident

After having my first 2 children at Bayfront Baby Place with no issues, I was pretty confident and comfortable knowing my 3rd child would be born there. However, to my surprise, it was the worst, most life changing and scariest time of my life. Not only were the labor and delivery nurses rude, left me on one side for FAR too long instead of rotating me like they should have... When asked to help me reposition myself during contractions, the nurse said "you can do it yourself" and walked out slamming the door behind her. I ended up needing emergency C-Section due to breech. When they removed my son and had him on the table suctioning him, the Nurse was a little "too rough" and put the suction bulb straight through the roof of his mouth causing a "soft palate injury"... He aspirated excessive amounts of blood from this and ended up needing o2 and being transferred to the NICU STAT. From there, everything spiraled downhill. He went from a healthy newborn to having a pneumonia like infection caused by the injury, then Pulmonary Hypertension and was on Life Support for 2 days. & in the NICU for 15 days. He is still fighting respiratory issues at 9 months old. A daily steroid that could be permanent, Asthma, and nebulizer albuterol treatments every 3 hours, more so when he's sick. He will forever be affected by this one nurse's mistake. The nurses were mostly contracted and travel nurses and did not care at all. They had no bed side manner and were not gentle at all. It takes a lot of force to shove a rubber suction tool completely through the roof of a baby's mouth and create a hole and excessive bleeding. Whether she didnt know what she was doing, or was having a bad day and decided to take it out on my newborn, I don't know, but I highly recommend NOT using this hospital.

This place don't even deserve the 1 star I gave them. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE TO HAVE YOUR BABY!!! First, none of the staff is trained properly and are very rude. We went to be induced and have been treated more horrible than I could have ever imagined. The person who administered my wife's epidural was not trained and did not do it right and after 3attempts tells us that she was sorry but she hasn't been trained to administer epidural yet and then leaves the room to get another nurse. Once it was put it I can tell you, it was not done properly as my wife could still feel everything, she could even still get up and walk around. Finally, after 33 hour of active labor we opted for a c section, which was an even bigger mistake. Once in the OR things really went from bad to worse. They never administered the proper medication to numb my wife prior to surgery so she felt every cut. While in the OR she screamed in pain and told them that she was not numb and could feel everything but the operation never stopped. Instead they taped her to the table and told her that they would be quick about it. We tried over and over to get them to stop and administer the right medicine but we're just ignored. My wife was made to endure a 2 hour surgery with no anesthesia, what kind of Dr would do that to their patient? After surgery the nursing staff was completely rude, refused to give my wife any pain meds after surgery, even when they were ordered. It took us 6 hours to get my wife a dose of regular Tylenol. Finally, the staff was very disrespectful towards my family and i....even going as far as ripping a pacifier out of my child's mouth and then trying to shame us for using one. We have since contacted an attorney in regards to the malpractice. I warn you, if you want to have a good birthing experience do not come to this horrid place. Do your research, I would be surprised if anyone there is even proper licensed. STAY AWAY!!!

No. I am not sure about a belly button piercing though since mine was already out.

Great question. I know there's a lot of homeless in the area, so maybe that's why?
