Very disappointed with the lack of training of the people they use to do in home care services. I had a bad experience with two cuban ladies this agency sent to help my mother. The first one was very rude and no willing to follow instructions. She was taking personal calls the entire time and sitting down between duties. The second one, cuban too, was not able to cook, no initiative, has to explain every detail and everything, no easy to follow instructions, negative attitude, poor knowledge on how to take care of my mother. The agency does not make an effort to arrange the work time to the schedule required by my family to take care of my mother. They want to set their own hours and rules. They decided to terminate their service because I asked them if they can send other ladies from other nationalities like Honduras, Colombia, Venezuela, etc. but they are keeping the monopoly on this business imposing their customers only to hire Cuban's people. That is unacceptable since they need to give the opportunity to other nationalities. This agency is excusing themselves stating that they met the need by sending my mother a Spanish speaking person but the reality is that they did not meet the needs. The agency people only are able to cook cuban food and not willing to follow very simple instructions to cook other food styles. So how do you call that? Is that not discrimination? The agency is accusing me for me to be discriminating but I believe they are discriminating other nationalities to only have more than 95% of their employees to be only Cuban. I love Cuban people since I have very good friends but the point here is that is very unfair to terminate the service because their employees only cook cuban food and not willing to learn other type of meal preparations and because I suggested to bring in home care service people from other nationalities to promote the diversity. I will report this agency to the Agency for Health Care Administration State of Florida.
