My father in law (like a dad to me) was only a resident at Windsor for a year but I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff and the care he received there. He needed more help than many of the other residents with his activities of daily living (showering, bathroom, transferring from bed to chair, etc) and the staff always had him looking fresh and clean - no matter when we popped in. His room was also kept very clean, and Dad was very happy - all of which was very important to us. I could go on and on about their wonderful facility and staff - but here’s the thing that should make anyone looking for a solid review and take to heart…… I myself am a RN, it’s tough to feel 100% confident in any medical or living care your loved ones receive, so when I say I trust in these people, I am saying it with confidence and you as well should feel good about your decision to move your family member to Windsor of Lakewood Ranch.

I feel so very fortunate to have my mom reside at The Windsor of Lakewood Ranch. My family and I moved mom into her apartment at The Windsor in July 2020 (respecting their established Covid protocols) and it was the best thing we could have done for all concerned. Mom is happy there; she receives excellent care, and feels safe and secure. All staff members go above and beyond to best accommodate the needs of residents while considering residents' families in the mix as well. Finally, I can sleep at night knowing she is in good hands. Absolutely Amazing is how I would describe The Windsor of Lakewood Ranch. My 93 year old mother has lived here for 7 years and she loves it. She has developed wonderful friendships with many of the residents as well as the staff. Since the COVID 19 restrictions went into place it has been a real challenge for residents and families not being able to spend time together. Beth, the director at The Windsor, has communicated daily via email with the families. This has been extremely helpful. She gives updates on any COVID changes, but she also tells us what activities the residents are participating in, what the main meal was that day and what treats were on the treat cart. They post photos daily to their Facebook page so families can sometimes catch a glimpse of their loved ones. They also offer skyping appointments and window visits so residents can see their loved ones. I really look forward to these daily emails and once I read them I call my mom and we talk about the activities and what treat she got from the treat cart. They love that treat cart! The food/nutrition group works hard to make good healthy meals and they prepare those treats daily which is something the residents really look forward to in the middle of the afternoon. The Life Enrichment Team made up of Sonja, Victor and Jane continue to engage the residents with activities as well as having one on one conversations with the residents to just catch up and see if they want or need to talk about anything. I'm always amazed with their creativity and energy level. Joe and Henry from Maintenance always go above and beyond. They always have a smile on their faces. The housekeeping group always gets the job done. I so appreciate the little extras they do because they know it makes the residents happy and they also do it with a smile. The aides, CNAs, and physical therapists are tops and I love how the entire staff works and helps each other. Chelsea at the front desk is so pleasant to deal with. I call her all the time with various questions or concerns and she always answers my questions or puts me in touch with someone who can help. My mom recently had to be in the hospital and then a rehab facility for a couple of weeks. She was very anxious to get out of the rehab facility. The nursing staff at The Windsor is awesome. Debbie, Fran, and Ashley fielded numerous calls from myself and my brothers. Bless their hearts! They were very patient with us and helped calm our concerns. Fran even called me a couple of times to make sure I was alright. Debbie communicated with the rehab facility regularly so that as soon as Mom was strong enough to be discharged they swiftly coordinated her return to The Windsor. When Mom got back to The Windsor she said to me over the phone, "I'm Home!" The Windsor of Lakewood Ranch is her home and our family knows that she is well taken care of and loved by the devoted people who work here. My Mom thinks of the staff here as her family. We feel so blessed to have our Mother living at this amazing place. Thank you!

The Windsor of Lakewood Ranch is so much more than I hoped for regarding my mother who moved in first of June in the midst of the pandemic. I'm impressed with how diligent they have been with keeping everyone safe and healthy. Everyone is very professional, caring, and kind. They are always so friendly and quick to get back to me. The staff really cares about each and every resident and gets to know them personally. They have been creative in ways to keep the residents engaged with activities. My mother is so happy there. She is coming out of her shell, asking for help, being as independent as she can, and engaging with other people and activities like never before. She has a new leash on life and it's all because of the awesome staff at the Windsor! Thank you sooooo much!

It is a straight rental. There are different sized apartments at different prices. For assistance, there are levels of care that depend on how much assistance the resident needs. My Mom moved in a few months ago and it is wonderful! The other ALF she had lived in was bad.
