I just moved to Florida from another state. My husband and I needed new drivers licenses and license plates for our cars. Both of us agreed it was the best DMV experience we’ve ever had. We were taken right away. Our agents were courteous, friendly, and very efficient. Whoever would have thought a trip to the DMV could actually be pleasant? Well done, Manatee County Tax Collector Lakewood Ranch!

Had an appointment for 4:45pm and was promptly seen upon arriving. Amy helped me with a title transfer and tag renewals. Amy was great to work with and so friendly. Big shout out to Amy for all her help, pleasant attitude and fantastic customer service!

Was in and out in 30 minutes. Made an appointment online and was seen after 5 min of arriving. I was changing my license from NJ to FL and it was such an easy process. Everyone there was so nice, especially Jennifer, who was incredibly easy to work with and made the process very simple. Coming from NJ, doing anything involving going to the Department of Motor Vehicle usually is a long winded, frustrating ordeal so I couldn't have been happier with how simple & straightforward this place made it. Thank you again!

I had the absolute pleasure of being served by Amy yesterday at the Lakewood Ranch tag office. She was courteous, friendly, knowledgeable and joyous. A lot of times, county employees get overworked and lose their customer service "shine" and although the office was busy, she served me from her heart. I can tell she's been t the office for a bit because other employees were asking her advice about an issue and even with her helping them to solve the problem, she continued to handle my business with professionalism. Thank you Amy for an extraordinary experience!

If you are not replacing your vehicle within 30 days, the plate must be turned in. Keep your registration as proof of having the plate to avoid a new license fee ($200+), but when you do get a new vehicle, you will have a tag replacement charge (about $40) the same as when you get a new plate for a vehicle you already have registered.
Need an appointment, but it is easy can do it online. Sometimes same-day.
Sorry,no idea about that one.
Yes you can.
You need to use what is in your driver's license. They'll tell you to go to a dmv in Sarasota County
Sorry Eva, I didn't do that while I was in their office. A dealership might be able to give you a fast answer on that.
You need to download the application for change your license address on there website and also make appointment on the site as well.!
You can look at the website: taxcollector.com It will have the required docs listed there.
I've rarely had good experiences at the Lakewood ranch office. Not a very helpful group. Many others have had similar experience.
Not sure....we had to do everything online.....it's easy
Yea, you just keep the old plate.
So, unfortunately I believe the deadline was March 1st. Otherwise visit ofa.manateepao.com/ApplyOnline/WebForm1.aspx
You can register at any office with the proper vehicle documentation
Credit or debit....
Take bill of sale into tag office.
The Clerk of Court renews passports.
You really don't need the paper registration, your license plate with a current sticker is your registration. However if you need it for some reason, go to the DMV.
