Staff is not helpful at all. System is not user friendly. Endless amounts of hoops to jump through to get a permit. Staff does not care to assist in any way, can't even point me in the right direction. I pull permits from cities and counties all though Florida. This office should be ashamed of the service they offer. To think it is our tax dollars paying their salaries so they can treat us contractors like we are a thorn in their side.

Just had a new roof completed. Inspector showed up and left an orange card stating no documents were posted. Did not leave a name or a phone number on the card. Docs have been posted all week on a window 15’ from where he left his card.

Literally the worst customer service! License Registration paid, cashed, and now they say pay it again. No response. No call back. Serious nonsense. Licensing is rude and unprofessional and now stealing money.

Without a doubt the WORST building department I have ever dealt with and I deal with them all. You CANNOT get a human on the phone to help you and their website is about as user friendly as a backwards hammer. Even the "online help chat" gave me ZERO help or information. When you call, the prompts just tell you to do everything online, I assume that is because they do not want to help you. I would rather jump off the empire state building headfirst into a thumbtack than ever deal with this bunch of clowns again. Thanks for nothing.

Yes. But you can't enter the building. Your paperwork must be filled out ahead of time. You drop off at the Lobby. See website to find home owner paperwork..
Yes you can on their website
You will more than likely need a permit to do work within the right-of-way called a right-of-way utilization permit.
Sounds like your final inspection wasn't done and the 22 bucks is for the permit
Call pinellas county building department or go there 440 court st. to the 3rd floor
The lot next to the building department. It is metered parking.
Not required if the business is located in unincorporated Pinellas County. If located in a city/town you need to contact them directly.
If replacing all at once yes they must be Hurricane impact rated. If only replacing 25% must show storm protection. Will require a building permit in unincorporated Pinellas County. If your home is in a municipality check with that jurisdiction .
About 160.00 on a mobile home it is usually an aluminum roof over. Needs permit
Contact the Flood desk at the Pinellas County Building Department. Ask for flood
Flood zones change almost yearly. Check with Pinellas County flood desk.
