I have been a customer for 13 years. The first 11 or 12 were fine. Since then I have left feeling like I just left a crooked used car dealership. This time I had a 4:45 for 3 shots for my dog. It had already been changed once because the Veterinarian was in surgery. No problem, I would change it again if necessary. I was told the Veterinarian was again in surgery and would be until about 5. Not much of a problem. I finally got out of there about 6:30 with a $224 bill and medications for ailments discovered during the mandatory examination. A few days later I realized there weren’t enough pills to complete the number of doses prescribed. I returned to the office and was required to wait another 1/2 hour to get the pills. The final and biggest irritation was a sign on the front desk. It said emergency patients would be charged an additional $75 because they didn’t have an appointment. That is shameful. If your pet was attacked by. Coyote or hit by a car, you were going to be charged 75$ because you didn’t have much choice and needed their services then.

Dr. Tran has taken care of our dogs for over 12 years and we are very happy with his services. He always explains the problem well then offers a range of treatment options according to the available budget along with his recommendation. After another vet suggested immediate euthanasia, Dr. Tran performed a risky surgery to remove a 20lb tumor. He came in specially, on his son’s birthday to do the surgery then worked with us to provide the most economical post operative care. He stayed in touch with us via text until the dog was fully recovered. The dog has several good years after that surgery. Dr. Tran treats his customers like family. I highly recommend Friendly Animal Hospital.

There are some medicated dust and ointments you can apply to them, try to do your research and if in doubt go see a good vet
Not a lot cheaper than other places
They had walkin pre covid. I'm not too sure now they are very helpful if you call they can let you know about birds and services offered!
They refer you to places like VCA in Fountain Valley for euthanasia
If it looks painful, you can take it to the veterinary hospital. After hours seems to be $ 50. The doctor may save or prick it so it will go softer.
