The trail system is scenic, the lodge is well provisioned for equipment rentals, the staff very friendly. However, I was disappointed by the grooming of the classic track. In many areas it was simply not set. Given the firm snow conditions, this made for a not so pleasant ski.

It's a 3 or 4 star place if there is a very small crowd in attendance. Its a 1 to 2 star place on a busy day(e.g. weekend). It's just not suited to handle more than approx 15 cars in the parking lot. The last time I drove up there I ended up having to simply turn around and drive home..

I came up to ride with he Exploration trail, but unfortunately the trail was closed due to a recent fire. Rim Nordic was only a few miles up the road do we decided to give it a try. Mostly XC type trails, but still a lot of fun. Most trails provide a lot of shade, from plenty of tree coverage. Very relaxing to smell the pine on the trails. There are a few trails that are rated black, but they are more blue than black. Trail system is especially suited for e-bike, and we rode over 25 miles which was most of what was there to offer. The owner's are very friendly and the woman who runs the counter an excellent briefing of the trails for a "newbie" like myself.

Small place with about 9 miles of skiing trails, but very warm and friendly services. The parking lot is kind of small, but it rarely fills up.
