It was closed but the grounds and memorial to the Christiana Resistance were amazing! It would be nice to know the times they are open.

Small, but unique and well done.

Very informative. Guide was very knowledgeable and answered our many questions. Well be sure to go back in September.

This wonderful museum is situated at the location of the holding cells after the Christiana Uprising, within the old Zercher's Hotel, and is a meaningful gem of true history on the path to freedom for enslaved Africans in America. The museum's docent is an incredible historian who's ancestor was involved in the uprising, and is available to tell often overlooked details to our nation's history. It is definitely worth a visit in a sweet, tucked away town, that is easily accessible just off of Route 41. I highly recommend a visit, and offering a donation to support and protect this valuable little museum.

Yes but we have to add a ramp. Please call so we can be sure to have the ramp in place when you arrive. Are you coming Sept 14th to our open house?
